Her vocals made the band without doubt. I don't think they would have had success without her as the songs would have been very different in sound. I have seen them live a number of times, the first time at Leicester de Montfort Hall in 1989 and more recently around 2018. The SECC concert from December 1989 filmed over two nights is spectacular. It is available on DVD as part of the greatest hits collection. I would love to have been there. I listened to an interview with Lorraine McIntosh recently and she comes across very well. Thoughtful and down to earth.
I've been following Deacon Blue for 25 years plus awesome band ...seen them 5 times live by far their best song ...Lorraine voice is Amazing on all their songs see you in Newcastle in November guys.....
The Original IS a class tune ;) From year to year, from 5 Years to another 5 Years, everytime, the "Greatest Hits" of Deacon Blue is never gettin` bored. Just wondering that the "Greatest Hits" ist released in 1994, and they begin in 1987. How could they know that "Greatest Hits" are Complete ? ;))
Wow Genial. Muy buena versión. Para mi, una de sus mejores canciones. Lástima que Whatever you say, say nothing Album no fuera tan bien recibido por critica y público, lo considero un disco que a dia de hoy no me canso de escuchar.
Been a fan since the first time I heard Dignity, always loved this song but this is the first time I've seen the video, it adds a lot to the song I gotta say, the combination of the two is friggin' awesome.
Does anyone know which version of the song this is? It was originally released in 1992 but this music sounds way ahead of that year. Was the version above a 2000s remix?
@@nevillejackson7766you are right, it's the barrio vocal mix (by tony garcia) - actually the pretty rare 12" version. unfortunately, digital and cd releases include just the radio edit (which is 2 min shorter) and/or the full instrumental mix. oakenfold did the perfecto mix...
