the new guy has a deeper, fuller sound, but jimmie has that signature sound that makes him sound like he's ripping his throat apart. i actually can't imagine him screaming without a little blood mist coming out of his mouth. anyways, the two blend together perfectly.
I've been following DBA for many years now and I'm well aware of the mixed response from the metal community. I personally respect the artistry here and absolutely love their sound, people who are fans of this pop-metal fusion style may also want to check out Amaranthe if you haven't already. Great bands. :)
Ngl I never understood the biasness of the metal community. There are so many poppy metal bands out there but then some bands get all the hate while others don't.
@@sushio4357 metal fans are usually very specific about what they like. Like the technical people only like technical death metal, the black metal people only like that, so on and so forth. I think it’s really stupid and closed minded.
Hey Guys, listen .. I was just starting listening to this band like 2 week ago ... I have listened to about 12 songs, and let me tell you ... I love this song ... I liked Jimmie, but this dude is actually very good too, you should cut him some slack. Since I am just starting to become a fan of this band (I haven't assimilate completely with their line up/ old songs/ the voice of the lead) , I can tell you for sure, they sound just as good as before ...
I personally love Santiago and Stoffe. I love Let The World Know as an album, I don't understand the hate for them. Though I do prefer the Pontus/Jimmie combo a bit more
I'm not sure if this has been said before, but this version of "Freeze Frame" still has Jimmie's vocals on it, while the version on DbA's album "Let the World Know" has Stoffe's vocals.
MetalHeadMcNarland i think its not edited, watch some live videos with stoffe on youtube hes doing a great job and nobody could replace jimmie as good as stoffe does! i think he deserves to be a part of DBA!
I'm not gunna lie, I am impressed with this song, I have followed DBA since they started. But its true, this isn't like original DBA. :( but cannot wait to see them in london this year.
In fact, this one is re-recorded with Stoffe's vocals on. And it wasn't released before Jimmie got kicked out. Just an acapella of the initial version of the song. Then Jimmie got kicked out and they had to re-record the song.
O come on. I've listened to these guys since '07 and love them. Although my musictaste has changed and am not a huge fan anymore and I immediately heard they had a new singer, this song breathes DBA and made me happy when I heard it. Imo it's sad he left, but they couldn't get any better replacement for him. :)
I think this is a new era of DBA. Thanks to Jimmie for all he's done and good luck. The song is amazing, it sounds in a special way, Stooffe's vocals are fucking great!
I have been a solid fan for 3-4 years... An good god.. RIP.. The band is not what it use to be... Doesn't even sound like the same band. They went from something really great to... I don't even know what this is :/ I'm sad..
Stoffe is a great screamer. He replaced Richard from Sonic Syndicate and did an awesome job live back in 2012. I saw DbA last week and I can tell you Stoffe is just awesome
So I click on this video and saw that Jimmie is not in the band. I felt kinda bad but I heard the song and I can say it's pretty good. Give them chance people :)
DBA without Jimmie is not longer the known DBA. but they had changed. Changed like every band will do at one point and i like jimmie more espacially live but DBA is still DBA and they are going the way they want and thats how musicians do! so shut up and listen to them oder not. i will do! with Jimmie or without,
Finally someone who likes Stoffe! Whoa! He's fucking awesome and has been struggling against his alcoholism for years. Jimmie was a really bad person in private life.
This was released before Jimmie was kicked out, look up "Freeze frame music by Vadden" It was released 4 months ago. It was just the vocals and no background music, Vadden made his own beat for the song...
Need to say that i liked the version with jimmy more, not only beacause of the screaming parts it was more melodic, the instrumental part was simply better. But i still like the song and cant wait for the new album
Jimmie used to do all the vocals, and then Pontus started to do vocals live as well, and ex guitarist Johann Olsson used to do back up screams as well, but then he left the band in 2010, and Pontus also left the band in 2010 because he wanted to focus more on song writing, so they then brought Zandro in to replace Pontus on April 5th 2010 I believe, but Pontus came back after. The first DBA album is just Jimmie doing all the vocals, and Pontus saying a couple lines in "My Saviour" and "Carry Me"
