Silent Hill is a new Chapter for Dead by Daylight. It includes a new Killer, The Executioner, and a new Survivor, Cheryl Mason.
The Silent Hill Chapter also introduces a new map, Midwich Elementary School: the childhood trauma that once took place in its halls has since manifested itself into a twisted, nightmarish design. The new Killer is The Executioner: take control of Pyramid Head and wield his great knife to unleash his twisted brand of punishment on all who cross him. The new Survivor is Cheryl Mason, a courageous, outspoken woman who survived the hellish Otherworld of Silent Hill, and exacted revenge on the Order that killed her father. With experience beyond her years, she's prepared to once again stand against any evil that confronts her.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. We live in a time where you can play as horror legends like Michael Myers, Freddy Kruger, Pyramid Head, and Leatherface to kill other icons like Laurie Strode, Bill Overbeck, and Ash Williams. This game may possibly be the single most important thing to happen to horror, allowing fans of established series like Stranger Things to appreciate other works like Saw. Let's take a moment to thank Behaviour for gathering all of these intellectual properties into one great game. Say what you want about the community, bugs, and whatnot, but just ask yourself this one question: In 2016, did you really think we'd get a game like this? Happy 4 year anniversary Dead by Daylight.

I feel like this game is a sad excuse for a horror game, and silent hill is probably the worst offender. Don’t get me wrong I love DbD but it’s not horror. It’s just multiplayer. It’s sad because they could use the silent hill world to build their own game and take risk, but they just do crowd pleasing stuff like this and waste their properties. If you liked Silent Hill and that style of game, your out of luck.

@@brad3910 It's not trying to be a pure survival horror like white noise, but rather a multiplayer versus with horror elements. Like yeah, you may get the occasional scare from ghostface, myers, or spirit, but it's not designed to be a horror game. They focus more on the competitive aspect than the horror.

@@alejandromomota6934 Kid, but you are a fucking moron. The "HD" "Collection" version is UNIVERSALLY HATED and SHUNNED, because it fucked up every single fucking thing in the games. EVERY THING. The gameplay is literally the same, but not without its new issues, such as awful performance and tendency to CRASH. There's literally a 2 hour long analysis video on the subject matter if you want to get blown the fuck away. REmake1 is a 10/10 game, but it is not a replacement for the original RE. Only literal underaged graphix whores would skip the OG RE1, and thus miss one of the major appeal point of the REmake as well: it's masterfully designed new content, that's meant to surprise veteran players. Please consider sucking up a cactus.

Can I ask why you're excited? In SH2 he represented a direct part of James Sunderland. He was the way he was because of James. Most the enemies had ties to either him or another character in the game. That doesn't seem to be possible here. It won't be a tie to a character, it's a reference to another game. Pyramid Head was brand new at the time and still generated the spooks. They are bringing him back in because of that and to me that just seems lazy. They want you to relive the hits instead of going through the work of making a new album

Agreed, but DBD seems to just be repping the original 3 (Midwich from 1, Red Pyramid from 2, and Heather from 3). Unless they're going to drop some surprise The Room content (Walter Sullivan wouldn't have been a bad Killer pick, honestly), I don't think 4's going to get much from this DLC.

I think they should have still gone with Heather, that's how people know her. She doesn't go by Cheryl until AFTER the game and they clearly modeled her off the game version of Heather. But Pyramid Head also isn't in SH3 so none of this really makes sense in terms of lore so the devs were probably just going for whatever would work the best and put 2 iconic characters together, even if it didn't make sense. They didn't even put that dark red bags under her eyes which are a really important detail for her character

Okay, just to clarify, this is Pyramid Head, not Siren Head. I know Siren Head has been getting a SHIT TON of attention since January this year, and for good reason, but just cause you hear a siren doesn't mean it's Siren Head. To me, Siren Head doesn't even make a Siren. He just makes even more terrifying EAS sounds.
