Dead Dog on the Left is a documentary short following two Iraq war veterans attempting to heal from PTSD. Nigel McCourry was an early participant in FDA clinical trials using MDMA ("ecstasy") to treat war trauma. After experiencing an astounding recovery, he tries to get his "battle buddy," Tyler Flanigan, into the same study. Unable to get in, Nigel convinces Tyler to undergo the treatment illegally, from an underground MDMA therapist. Together they embark on an inspiring journey of friendship and healing.

@Thomas Brown I think you should pose those good questions to the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies. (MAPS) They are the non-profit organization that is bringing MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy to us and in phase 3 trials with it right now. I bet they've already thought of some of those things too and may have figured some things out. They've been working on making this legal and available for over 30 years! Just hang on a little longer, they say by the end of 2021, it should be available.

How tragic that organized crime of government had to be executed by normal conscientious human beings like these. Sympathies with the veterans, but more so with the innocent people that were shot just because they were in the wrong country.

Wow that was good, like all precedents movie extracts. Hope you will get the 156,176.00 missing for releasing the movie :s When it should be fully releasing? And will there be extracts soon like this one or the others? :)

Hi Dana! Try here: reddit.com/r/mdmatherapy/ I'd also recommend Michael Pollan's book. Although he doesn't talk much about MDMA, he talks extensively about his experiences with psychedelic guides and what kind of guide you should be looking for. MDMA isn't yet legal but you might be eligible for phase 3 trials or you could find an underground guide.

What would happen if someone takes MDMA without getting off benzodiazepines? Or maybe stop only 2-3 days prior? My sister will be doing this soon and she doesn't think she can get off her Lorazepam and Prozac(although she only takes them as needed, 3-4 times a week) I'm pretty much giving up looking for an underground therapist for her although she lives in California... I'm going to have my mom or one of her friends sit with her when she takes the medicine(will be lab tested for purity).

Lorazepam will not affect MDMA, nor is it dangerous (in a normal therapeutic dose). However, Prozac will definitely block the effects of MDMA. One typically needs to quit Prozac for a full two weeks for MDMA to work. (They compete for the same reuptake transporter site in the brain).

I think I read a while ago that all benzos significantly diminish the effects of MDMA, to varying degrees depending on which benzo, but still.

Benzos will only diminish the effects of MDMA in the sense that a CNS depressant will diminish one's lucidity and awareness normally. The same is true for alcohol. If you get so drunk you are close to passing out, you won't experience the MDMA. If you overdose on benzos, same thing. However, there is no pharmacological interaction between most benzos and MDMA, like there is between MDMA and other serotonin-affecting drugs.
