Loading times are a bit rough on the older systems but they did really well at making it look and run well on them so overall I’d say props to them. A solid release for those who don’t have a PS5 yet.

Very impressive that they were able to keep most of the lighting and reflections with the biggest difference being the vegetation swaying in the wind which helps it feel more real, other than that the main drawback being load times. Great job devs! Was worried about PS4/pro version being gimped.

Estoy asombrado lo bien optimizado que está para la generación de PS4/PS4 Pro. Yo creo que una de las razones por la que va tan bien y se ve bien, es porque se concentran en optimizar un solo modo gráfico para cada versión y de allí deriva el excelente rendimiento y apartado gráfico. Aprende algo CAPCOM con tu RE4 remake y sus múltiples opciones gráficas.

Nice looking game. Seems to run pretty well too. Last gen versions seem well handled too. Reasonable cutbacks.

Wow the game looks amazing across all platforms and on top of that actually runs very well and this is not even a day one patch yet. I might actually consider getting this game not gonna lie.

Lookds decent. It's a shame PS4 Pro never got proper 1440p support, like the PS5. Many games are in that ball department so people would make use of that console on monitors.

An SSD would greatly reduce load times on the Pro, by at least 50%, maybe 25-35% of the base PS4. Still have the give the devs credit for getting this game to run smoothly on last gen hardware. Game is a looker on PS5 and runs great.

Funny cuz Genshin Impact on Ps4/Pro has crystal clear blue water (Same water and cell shading as 'Kakarot' on PS5) and moving trees/foilage and open world. Meaning yes they could if they wanted too. They just didnt want too. Gives a reason to upgrade.

Literally the only notable difference i see visually is that the trees don't move on last gen, which is such a minor thing. Everything else is virtually identical. The frame difference is painful but that's expected. I really hope i can get a PS5 this year

PS4 loos awesome ! I can live without dynamic foliage shadows.Seems like a reasonable optimization having in mind that everything else seems intact (draw distance of objects seems the same or almost the same)

This is a prime example of a game being held back because of being developed for the PS4 and then slightly upgraded for PS5. It was in dev hell for almost a decade, so its clear to me that this games backbone is optimized for the PS4, hence the missing open world etc.

What RGB Range settings do you use with PS5?

Dying Light in 2015 already had trees that moved with the wind and day/night cycle, on PS4. Seems a bit going backwards, but different team/game anyway.

Load time and trees moving are the only big difference I see.. Good old ps4 still holding its own in 2023! Though I have recently moved on to Xbox series S for new games.

I remember the 1st Dead Island game. It was so fun but it was equally unplayable. Nothing but bugs and constant crashes. I remember you couldn't play that game longer than an hour without a crash. Hopefully that won'r be the same case here because I do wanna get it.

Why 1800p and not 4k?

it's strange to watch how trees stand static and do not show signs of wind on the ps4 version, but if you look at older projects that are not inferior in graphics, you can see that everything is in order with the physics of trees

Really hoping this game ends up being good. I'm rooting for it but the years in development hell may not bode well for the overall quality of the end product. Still, as a big Dying Light 1 fan, I need a new fix for a good first person zombie game. Dying Light 2 isn't it.
