in my case LOGAN all the way i am a mele player not a trower whats is his playstile but i like how he looks and i dont play womans but normaly Xian may its the perfect caracter for me but Logan its fine he makes the game never bee too easy even when your maxed level and i like having some dificulties until i trow somthing agains a boss or somthing strong and see him instantly dye its so satisfaing SAM B isnt for me i dont really like how he looks and i dont use 2 handed weapons sorwds Katanas and Revulver are the only things i use
bro you used a flere gun on a exploder the dummest thing you coud do trow a weapon at him and hes gane dye and you can take it back use the flere gun for those whater zombies booses and guns btw at the last boss make shore you have fury you will need it
The original version of Riptide, not the remaster, had random monsoon storms that could roll in and flood the area, never saw it myself because I didn’t play it then, but it *was* a mechanic
Ultimate throwback to when my best buddy at that time and I finished the game about three times in the release week. Laughed our asses off most of the time but the game was actually pretty cool.
Never finished Riptide but the first game was great. My buddy had a modded shotgun from a rando he played with and whenever we'd shoot it the back of the truck it would send it flying
I love it when you level up. So video games and cartoony in a fun way. Love Dead Island. The idea of a zombie outbreak in a tropical holiday resort is ingenious.
I love Riptide. It doesn't feel like it drags on like the first game. The hand to hand dude rocks. I like his kicks and using claws counts as hand to hand.
bro i remember playing this when it first came out but there was this one mission which was the hardest i played ( i was also a child). you had to defend a village or something and there was sooooo many infected and ogres (i thought they were called butchers) but you have to defend the village and it took me hours to complete. hope to see a part 2 and see that mission. love the content keep it up!

@@ShawnFX yeah its scary as hell and even worse when you play it at night. I always made sure to avoid deadzones or those creepy bungalow areas that had boss zombies. 😖
Dude, I LOVE Sam B. Seriously. As a real rapper, I do. I forgot what the dudes real name is but man... if Sam B was around in the 90’s and early 2000’s he would’ve been a straight up RL famous rapper. He’s got such a great vocal tone, delivery, and when paired with a hard hitting beat like “Who Do You Voodoo” it’s absolute fire. 🔥 Also, gameplay is all him, man. Beat character in the game, hands down. As soon as I saw him as a playable character, I was like... bruh of course I’m gonna choose Sam B! Cold azz dude in a trench coat. I know you don’t get to “see” Sam when playing (it’s an FPS) though, it would’ve been nice to have the Abraham Lincoln/T-Pain style top hat. 🤣 But yeah... it’s so cool that he’s in Riptide. Me and some really cool dude on modded PS3 just finished the first game yesterday. He told me I should get Riptide so hearing Sam B is also in this makes me so stoked. I already downloaded the game and am gonna start playing likely this weekend. I’ll prob hit up my new PSN homeboi and start coop’ing it with him too. Anyways, awesome review. Very thorough and this game sounds like a dang blast... I know the first entry in this series was. Love Dead Island and I think I’m going to love this Di: Riptide too!

@@rebelknightrider4473 yeah which is why im worried about dead island 2.. cos it doesnt seemvery scary on the trailer... i think theyve gone for more comedy which could make it a bad game unless done very well... its far easier to make something scary & be good than funny & be good.. cos even if u found it funny once, it will soon get tiresome on the 2nd or 3rd playthru
oh man dead island riptide was my shit for like two months. i remember walking to eb games after school to pick it up on release day (even got the steelbook case) and then playing it for like six hours every night

Riptide is such a classic. It was my very first and only DI game I played. Had an absolute blast with it and i mained John Morgan throughout the story and NG+. His ability to sometimes auto revive after death is sick. Not to mention he has one of the best special attacks in the game, being a running spartan kick that sends dudes FLYING
dead island and riptide back then were really outstanding, the story line, the gameplay, the cinematics, mechanics etc . now DI 2 is just a little let down to be honest.

I played the beginning of the first game years ago but I never finished it. Good game though. Back in the day when devs respected your time and gave us a mini-map. A mini-map that helps tremendously with flow.
Yeah I’m just now completing it for the third time in two weeks because I actually like the zombie slaying more in it than Dead Island 1, and the skills make you feel way more like a zombie slaying badass than the original did, plus it’s way shorter than the original (easier to beat repeatedly), and its missions are somehow more fun and it feels like they give you more money to upgrade than in the first.
@@bloedekuh I’m not a Logan fan, I’ve now played Riptide as all characters (Sam B twice), and I’m not gonna say it’s BETTER, but it’s not as bad as people give it shit for, first is definitely a better GAME.
@@HelixNebuIa the game’s been passed all over the place & it’s not even in the hands that made the first 2 games, especially being that it was delayed for that long it could be a red flag since it has new developers.
@@505PRE Hm, I played a early access version of the game and it very much felt like the old once. Maybe they’ve reworked it but I can’t imagine it being a totally new thing. You might be right tho, time will tell.
100% better. They buffed the guns to actually be not garbage, the leveling is much faster and let’s you get to the fun skills significantly faster, and John is probably the most fun character to play out of the five imo. There’s so many little quality of life changes in Riptide that no one ever talks about compared to the first game
i love the moment when they dominate you and you use your fury as Logan and kill 8 zombies at 1 and distroy like 50 or more zombi witha fury and you cant do that with any other caracter thats why his the best and i like his caracter
I love the Dead Island games. Riptide was better than the first imo, even though a lot of people hated it. It's a bit like STALKER Clear Sky. You need to make it work, but once you do, it's all there.
I dont know if you know this but in case you havent. A good Dead Island video is playing the other Dead Island game called Escape Dead Island and see what you think of it and its probably cheap to buy also perhaps $5
I got it about 3 weeks ago. I was cautious because I heard it was so terrible but I love Dead Island. It was so cheap and I though why not? Pretty good game to be honest. Ive seen people complain that its unplayable and the combat doesn't work and a whole bunch of stuff like that. What a load of rubbish. I never had any problems with it. Plays totally fine. Story can be confusing but if you dont understand something reading a plot summery helps a lot. Very cool game.
My favourite game franchise. Didn’t like this one as much as the first a lot having to do with the ‘vibe’ or atmosphere. The first perfectly captured the somber tone with the island. The jungle and town weren’t enjoyable and the second game takes place entirely in those type of areas
Got the game for free and wanted to see if it was worth playing through and found this video. Gotta point out the moment at 14:47... "Well, before we jump in..." Instantly skips to him being inside.
Those explosive guys can be taken out with a knife with a mod like shock or fire then you can retrieve them ,I haven't started riptide yet but finished the first one ,heard there's better weapons atleast in riptide
i play so many games that i usually don't continue them. but lots of the time i'm like "damn i wish i could keep playing" haha. just not enough time in the day lol
@@jayveeeee i can't speak for everyone, but i think it would be nice to occasionally have multiple videos on certain games. not like an entire play through (unless ofc that's what you wanted, but i assume not), but even just two or three videos on some of the games you really like instead of one, which gives you the opportunity to play the games you want to play a bit longer than you might have otherwise. and it gives us, the audience, a chance to see more of you playing something that you clearly enjoy yourself with!

Maybe because you didn't use Logan. He was the overpowered one in Dead Island. The amateur devs nerfed him hard and he became borderline unplayable in Dead Island Riptide. Because unlike others, his skills don't focus on anything other than throwing. How is Logan the "throwing expert" when someone like John does more throw damage?
