I created this video with the RU-vid Video Editor ( / editor ) Season 2 funny moments part 1: • Dead Like Me Season 2 ... Season 2 funny moments part 2: • Dead Like Me Season 2 ...
I said the same thing about Firefly. And Dollhouse. And Almost Human. And Flashforward. And.... well, you see the point. If it's a show I love, it's bound to die; I'm just waiting for all the superhero shows to get canceled, too :(
It was one of the best morbid comedy shows I've ever seen. Someone at the network probably fired so they could kill off the show to replace it with something that stank. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.
Sad thing is Firefly was doing great in ratings but Fox being stupid cancelled Firefly for a show that didn't even make in the ratings and was bad to the point it couldn't make through a month and was cancelled after two weeks after it aired
"It's not about Homeland Security you stupid mutha fukka I'm gonna get a friend!!!" bwhahahahaha!!! Roxy kills me...Jasmine Guy was more than just the sassy black woman!! Love her!!!
Some of the funniest moments on the show were when she got into fights with Mason (the Brit). They were always plotting silly little revenge schemes against each other. It was just hilarious.
How is it Bryan Fuller wasn't nominated for any awards for this show? It's a top 10 all time series and arguably his best work, and it's really not an argument. I mean, seamlessly tying together a flaming Russian toilet seat, a grumpteen girl named George, a 60s era British drug addict, an open to blow GOTW "actress", a frog, a Herbig, an old sour Rube, post-it notes and Waffles. That's some genius level writing to hold together, and Bryan does so with ease. Well done sir, and thank you 😊
He had a fight with the clueless producers and walked out after only five episodes of season one. Everything after this is from another director/writer's idea list...
@@largol33t12 TBH though, John Masius and Stephen Godchaux did a great job taking over. I do wish he'd stayed on, but I do really love the Masius and Godchaux produced sho after Fuller left.
I'm showing my wife the show for the first time. She loves it. At first she had no interest in watching it but, when I started my forth binge she started getting into it and now she's hooked and also slightly bummed there's only two seasons and a movie. I wish that they would bring it back.
Yeah...pretty much sucked, according to most fans (incl. me). Maybe one of the few small good parts is a significant storyline with Reggie, but basically the reaper stuff is worthless, if I recall correctly. I mean, as always I'm gonna want to watch those kinds of things anyway because my fandom cannot go incomplete, but just set your expectations :)
I've seen a lot of serial killer documentaries. They tend to fixate on their mothers. Until this show I couldn't understand how a mother could create a serial killer. Now I do.
This is just my thoughts. I think Crystal knew George was Millie. The Halloween episode when she typed Georgia Lass in the computer after George and Mason left Happy Times was a clue. The fact that she stole the yellow post-its' from the supply cabinet caused me to think she was the one who supplied Rube with the list of names of who was to die. The shadow figure when the envelope passed under Rube's door helped cement that thought. This series shouldn't have ended with just 2 seasons. It was wonderful to watch. Crystal was more than just a stand-by character.
@@Maderyne I always knew that Crystal was in some tiny way, involved with the 4 main characters. A dead giveaway was when they go to the office late at night. There can't be a reason for Crystal to be working that late. I strongly suspect she's a bit of a reaper herself but never has to do "street patrols" like the others. She is a reaper in an administrative way.
This was the first show I watched on Netflix that was taken off before I could finish it. Going from one episode to the next and all of a sudden it was no longer available 😩
I got the DVD of this show. I'm rewatching it now.

This series' world view sat well with me, or IOW it resonated within me. Not that implausible even in its more campy and over the top moments and characters. Liked it. Liked it a lot.
I can never find the season 1 pilot where Georgia doesn't want to take the little girl, and Rube tears her a new one, which is the part i have been looking for.. Rube describes how that little girl will be as she ages....
I used to watch this show all of the time back in th day. It's my second favorite show ever. But my parents divorced and now Dolores seems so much like my dad's fiancee it's scary.
It's so lame that this show didn't go on for at least 5 seasons! It was awesome during its original run! And still holds up great, all these years later!
I remember this show being quite good and funny in the first, and very opposite in the second season. They changed the main creator or director or whatever so that happened.
Do we have any idea if the file folder falling down the crack in the elevator shaft, is CG? Seems like it would require a million takes, to get that shot otherwise..
MASON: I feel like I've been poisoned. Have you been poisoned? RUBE: No not on purpose. I had some bad salmon once, I don't touch the stuff anymore MASON: Was it salmon mousse? RUBE: I don't know, it's canned (George comes and sits down) RUBE: Morning GEORGE: Morning, why you leaving? RUBE: well 'cause if I stay you'll put me in a bad mood, and it's a beautiful day and I don't wanna be in a bad mood GEORGE: Do you not like me anymore? RUBE: Well not right this minute, you're a constipator, peanut and you disturb my shit and that's annoying MASON: I think you're marvellous
Not gonna lie, I don't see a ton of humor in this series, but I hugely enjoyed it. Personally and probably uncommon opinion, I think this should have been a drama. There are funny moments in drama as well, and some of the deaths are really weird, but I could dell the emotions of every character and I took it very seriously. I think it could have fit into many categories, so I don't blame anyone for laughing at a bunch of parts in the series. I just personally didn't laugh at as many parts.
Just caught two episodes on the Free TV Cable in Indy 4.2 The Comet and was hooked. It is $hit that this show did not survive! Maybe it needed more drama! Idk! Interesting Show! Thanks for posting! Constipation Peanut lol!😂
It was killed off to make room for that show about the mortuary (Six feet under). I didn't like that show, it had sex scenes that ruined the flow of the script because they looked tacked on. I stopped watching SFU after about four episodes. It was nowhere as great as everyone claimed. I seriously think someone was fired at the network so some big cheese could get rid of this show just because he/she hated it.
I agree, sone of the smartest shows during that period. Problem was, some religious groups objected, and Showtime wanted certain changes made. The Director/creator said no and Showtime said adios.
Where can I purchase season 1 in a digital format? The only option I see is $50 on Amazon for the DVD, and I don't do hard copy anymore as a full time nomad. Thanks in advance!
I love this show but it's hard to watch because I'm more distracted recognizing the filming locations such as the waffle house, the universities, the parks, etc.
Fox Network canceled “Family Guy” AND also “FUTURAMA” a couple of times. Both shows make sarcastic remarks about it, in their comeback season episodes!!! It’s GREAT 👍☺️😉
