I live about 20 min away from this mall, yrs, it used to be "Cranberry Mall", because that was the name of the little community just north of Westminster. I bought my first digital camera there at the photo shop in 1998. Cinnamon was always busy, across from Caldor. And I remember during Christmas season, even the overflow parking lots were packed. Who remembers Greenfelts, where you could shoot pool all day?

This was the mall I knew growing up. I remember Caldor, Montgomery Ward and all that stuff. I used to love going to K. B. Toys as well. Its so sad to see the mall come to this when it used to be such a thriving place.

Since the mall is no longer able to attract larger chain stores, it has recently drawn many interesting and unique smaller businesses, including a very large unique fantasy gaming store, a huge crystal / hippie type shop and a massive vintage comic / toy store, to name a few. I visited this mall at the end of January 2023 and was pleasantly surprised with how many cool, unusual stores had opened. All said, if you are done looking at the same twenty stores in every mall, this mall might just surprise you!

I don’t remember it being a Roy rogers I know it was a chick fil a. On the right hand side the restaurant was there and on the left there was a space for kids to play while the parents would eat they had a tv and toys and stuff they eventually tore the room down and turned it into several other stores and the chick fil a closed I think around 2019-2020. Anyways it’s cool to see you review are dead mall they could have done so much with this place smh They had a lot of cool stores my brothers were born in 1995-1997 and they both experienced a lot shifts there when I was growing up and one was they had a Spencer’s, hot topic and pac sun and they got rid of those they had the rue 21, Deb, journey, the shoe dept, Claire’s and game stop but half those stores closed down from not making enough to stay there or they had plans for something else same with FYE I loved that store and now it’s swapped with Eternia dreams toys and collectibles which I like it doesn’t compare to FYE though. Anyways sorry for the rant i hope they do big things with this place there isn’t much to do in are area already.

I was going to say the same thing, I worked at that Chic-fil-a in 2008/2009 and as long as I can remember it's been a chic-fil-a, unless it turned to a roy rodgers in the last few years before closing lol. I worked many jobs here but the only ones left are the gamestop and movie theater
@celsdogg
@celsdogg Год назад
The Roy Rogers was where "tables and towers" is with Chick-fil-A besides it. Thats why the towers and tables windows are like that, they were part of Roys design at the time. I first went to Cranberry in 1995; Eternia/FYE space was "The Wall", there was a "Tape World" at the other end, Caldor was still there as was Leggett, GameStop was "Electronics Boutique", and a shout-out to the sporting goods store "The Pro Image"! I used to prefer entering the mall from Montgomery Wards, at the time it was only a single floor, Boscovs did pretty major construction to make two floors and put the locally famous (/s ) escalators.
@markkotishion2379
@markkotishion2379 Год назад
Worked at Boskovs and the dollar deals store next door. At Boskovs People would come just to ride and play on the escalators which would drive security crazy. I miss the food court selections.
@Brian6587

There's still a bit of life in the mall with Boscov's and a couple of the clothing stores though I do agree it's definitely on life support. North Hanover Mall in Hanover, PA is deader than TownMall in my opinion which is sad. I live locally close to both malls. Cool video! I always loved Christmas in the TownMall which used to be called "Cranberry Mall" in the 90's which sounded cooler in my opinion.
