If they do find themselves on the correct path, this game is still a long ways away from the finish line. I do hope they succeed and that we get to play something close to what was promised when this project first kicked off, but that's still years away I think.
They seem to have owned up to their mistakes, they seem in this, and they see genuine in their efforts and desires. We are right to be skeptical, and we are right to cheer them on when they do things right. They seem to be doing right by me.

Any news I’ve been hearing has been kinda odd without your voice behind it lol I honestly still feel like Dead Matter can be a great game especially to be played with a group of friends, and I am very happy to hear more news from them, but I don’t expect it to be great anytime soon. At least in the meantime we’ve got other great survival games to keep us busy
Yeah it was so easy to talk about this topic, I guess that's what happens when you give everything to learning the game in anticipation of greatness lol It could still be a great game, like you said, but it's going to be an unreasonably long time
I luckily got a refund from them after seeing the date of the release get pushed from June to August 2023. At that point I had enough and emailed them asking for a refund and my sheer disappointment as I was sick of seeing delay after delay after delay. As far as I'm concerned they didn't even announce a delay at all just sneakily pushed it to August just when June was about to finish. I highly doubt this game is gonna go anywhere as I have no faith in them whatsoever. Extremely disappointing how it's all gone but hopefully a miracle happens
It's just weird to me, it's been how many years and it's practically the same stuff they're showing us but NPC dialogue and just 2000 zombies in one area. Like why does the game need hoardes? I heard it already ran pretty badly anyways so why add fire to the fuel? I know they said it's optimized but they've also said many other things, like when the game is *planned* to release.
Since you shot this video, the game's release has been postponed 3 times and is still pending. Last night (2 weeks after last given release date), I asked via discord servers when the game would be released or what the estimated time was. As usual, they gave evasive answers, instead of answering my question, they showed the nonsense in the announcement section and that very long post that Nik created in his psychotic dream world. However, there was no date or explanation there regarding the release date. The only thing you can understand in that long article is an article explaining that the problem is not theirs and that they are waiting for Steam to allow it, and puts the blame on Steam. And that's why I made a few lines of critical comments, first they made their own clown attack me. and then they imposed a 1-day silence on the discord server. The reason was that I only made critical comments, they did not say anything to the clowns who attacked me, mocked me and even made insulting comments. So I turned off my computer and went to sleep. I noticed that I received a warning, they removed me from the discord server, how come I deserve the penalty of being removed from the server, where I cannot write anything? Never trust a group of unreliable, liars and barbarians and do not support their malevolent behavior, please.
As someone who is banned in their discord and still owns the game. I hope they finish this game and get their shit together. The dev team has had their heads up their asses for way to long.
@@PathfinderPlays I forget the dudes name but he was their PR for the longest time. IDK if he still is. I told them that he should just focus on dev work and leave the PR stuff to someone else. They didnt like that.

To me the zombies don't seem that hype yet He says in the vlog there is no performance hit as the game has a lag spike they basically just flock around and form these spirals wherever they are, no real gameplay, just randomness They boast about the number of NPCs, but I'd rather have less, with more gameplay intention behind them than just randomly dispersed NPCs Also, they haven't shown them actually doing any fighting yet, how will this behave when players start shooting, running, etc... and that the enemies have to start targetting, repathing, fighting, etc... Can these zombies break through doors? if I can just close a door, I don't care if there are 3 DayZ infected or 1000 Dead Matter infected And also, this system already killed Linux server support. Did it also kill single player? What compromises did they do on polish ( art, animation, etc... )? Will it run well on a lower end server? Lower end PC? So many unknowns, I can't get hyped, especially coming from this team
I sadly gave up on this game ever becoming anything a long time ago. Hell, Vein looks more done than this game after little development time and it has ex employees from QI. That may be the basket to start putting your eggs.
I don't wanna be that guy, but there's no future for this game. I believe the majority of the devs abandoned the project. This game could have been the fps zomboid. Instead, it doesn't know what it is. It doesn't have the advantages that tarkov does as this game isn't really unique.
I don't think this take makes you that guy, I think you speak what everyone feels... Myself included. I'm a indie romantic at heart, always hoping they follow through, but facts are facts. And the fact is, there isn't a game.
nothing has change for 6 years ! Will be laggy, boring, empty although they had the solution ! Save customs (with admin command) on servers , cause everything disappeared when you restarted it , and optimize ! that's the only thing they had to do
I'm interested to see what their next Dev update will look like. They said they were focusing on optimization, but with them, I take that with a grain of salt.

@@PathfinderPlays they remove the admin command to spawn zombie... which was the best thing they made about this game. This game was good . the only thing they needed was to optimize and save customs when you placed items cause when the server restarted everything disappeared. you could literraly mod you own server with items, vehicule zombies etc.. I even made a excel with all items (with photos of every fucking items in this game! !!) , you just had to click on it go in the game and paste with the admin command
