The amount of attention Team Ninja paid to detail in the Dead or Alive games during this time is nothing short of astounding. I always appreciated how one of Hitomi's standard victory poses, along with her "GREAT" and "GREATEST" victory poses, had a different animation if you chose her karate gi outfit in this game and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. Regarding Hitomi's character, it's a shame how Team Ninja turned her into a ditz in Dead or Alive 4. Her idle stance, general demeanor, and the way her voice sounds don't hold a candle to how the developers presented her in this game, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, and Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. Honestly, I could say the same about some of the other characters, especially Brad Wong and Christie.
