I've been watching a lot of music videos and interviews with Pete Burns. And I'm wondering why can't men, gay or straight, wear makeup and women's clothes and high heels? I dated a guy when I was 19 and he had long hair that I would tease and he wore eyeliner. He was handsome. I think Pete looked great before the plastic surgeries. He shouldn't have done as much as he did. But it was his personality, honestly, freedom in life that made him attractive.
This is a show that suits him. He used to be natural as a young man, but at this time he's sophisticated as gay. This outfit is feminine and looks like an American showgirl. He was unhappy. Who could hug him?No matter how many times I say goodbye, the illusion remains and he comes back. He was a mysterious person.
Noelia, a mi también me sucede lo mismo... Es él hombre mas guapo del universo..... Me agrada leer tu comentario porque es él mas lindo y atrevido que he leído.. Un saludo.
Sorry, I managed Pete and DOA, which at the time was only Pete and Steve. Against everyone's judgement Pete wanted to go out alone with just a transexual, Jeana and two dancers. There were a couple of riots and really bad shows. I am writing a lot about the 92 and 95 tours I did with them. The final and last line up of Dead or Alive started during the 95 tour. There was a real cluster fuck with the agent I had assigned to the tour and fired him right before the Arena show. I had to fly Pete and myself into LA to do that hideous show with out the dancers or Jena
One riot was when Pete & Steve pulled a stunt and ruined a Kylie show they did together. The band was escorted out of Japan over that. There was one in SF after they didn't pour coke on the stage early to make it sticky until too late and it was just like water. Pete fell on his ass and stormed off. One when Pete talked 5 minutes for every minute he san like he did at Arena. The owner & the promoter held me hostage until I called the police, ( that happened in SF too )
+Scott - Wow! Those are some unfortunate events. It's too bad the concerts turned into chaos like that. Although I'm still a great fan of theirs, the last DoA concert I attended was during the "Nude" tour. I had gone to two others previously, and I always thought they put on such dynamite shows. After the "Nude" tour, they didn't really perform anywhere close to where I live, but I always wished they had. However, it sounds like things really went downhill after the early 1990s.
