In his book "Grinding it Out", McDonald's founder Ray Kroc said that the Battlefield Mall in Springfield, MO had what he described as a "Taj Mahal"-like restaurant, with dining areas on 5 levels, decorated with fireplaces and such. Do you know anything about that, or what current space it might have been in? He could have been referring to the freestanding McD's on the outparcel, though. (McD stores as their own mall spaces began to disappear in the 1990s, with a preference for food court counters instead.)
