All DP music is still relevant and only gets more relevant with time and the growth of capitalism and inequality. I’m Mexican and all my homies growing up loved Dead Prez. Revolution and resistance against white colonialism and capitalism is in our Aztec blood. DP showed love on “I have a dream too” with the Zapatista roll call/shout out! Big ups from LA. This song and RBG album are timeless

This video got me stuck the first time I watched this because before the song even started I was hit with a flash back of visiting Miami and having the exact same situation happen to me pulling down a wrong turn road. The only difference was I floored the gas and accelerated as fast as I could not slowing down for anything or anyone. Probably only reason I’m around still. Crazy how much truth is spit in this track. Way underrated for the knowledge being dropped in it. Dead prez is raw.

A radical preacher, talking about the roots of the problem in society. Then they re-wrote the most message from Jesus to make him less radical and useful for those in Power. Just as the mainstream are doing with MLK. If this world order keep on going for some thousand years, it wouldn't surprise me if the pictures of MLK would be just as white as Jesus today and his message just as passive...
