Dead Rising 1 Mutiny/Request Item Glitch 

If you frame perfectly give an item to a survivor as part of a request or mutiny or as part of Ronald's mission it won't swap from talk to give fast enough and will treat it as if you're not holding the item.
Been wanting to figure this glitch out for a while.
