Each of the dead rising psychopaths represent what can lead one to insanity. Brick mason represents a complete lack of compassion, empathy or mercy. Truly one of the worst types of psychopaths that can exist. These types of people don’t believe they are capable of doing any kind of wrong. They will attempt to justify their actions using excuses such as “it was duty” “it had to be done” “others were worse” Brock Mason like the government he served intended to cover up their mistakes instead of admitting to them while claiming their actions were justified. While the truth being of their actions were justified they could’ve admitted to them at some point.
Honestly, I don't think he even cares about whether or not what he was doing was wrong. He basically just does it because he can, and clearly has a cynical, if not misanthropic outlook on people in general. To him, it's just second nature for a human to be a total dick that will find any excuse to just shit on another person's day. It's the old "the world is cruel and inhospitable, so why bother being any different" excuse.
I noticed that most of the psychopaths went insane and were the victims for the most part Brock on the other hand is SANE and the opposite of a victim....a guy with no remorse Thats what made him interesting
@@ChiefMedicPururu Dead Rising 1 definitely did it the best, since against Brock there’s no weapons, no items, and no other special mechanics outside of Brock’s fighting style and the surrounding zombies around the tank. It’s just you and your fists against him.

A awesome theme for the true big bad, final boss, and misanthropic psychopath. Brock mason and dr. barnaby are the reason carlito and isabela started that outbreak.
Yeah. One was a scientist that never stopped to think if he should do what he was doing, and the other's just a cynical, misanthropic prick, that doesn't really care who he kills and why.

The fact you fight him one on one on a prototype tank where zombies are swarming you on all sides no food, no weapons, just Frank VS Brock in hand to hand combat on a small platform with no railing. And you have to beat him before the beautiful Isabella dies. Just holy crap! As if the fight with this guy’s XM3 wasn’t scary enough.
0:54 I had to listen to this hyped ass song for a long time since my strategy to beat him on my first playthrough was "he cant hit me if he is blocking". Just imagine Frank punch him non-stop while this track plays and Brock is infinitely blocking.
He was pretty tough at first with all the blocking, but his health started going down fast after I started doing double lariats on him. Finished him off with a flying kick to the face, it was beautiful.

See this is one of the reasons why these fights were great, they had themes that were different for each one that suited them. Dead Rising 3 on the other hand, decided to just put dupstep
Shame the Psychopaths in that game are garbage. DR1 had the best simply down to them feeling more sympathetic and real rather than going full comedy slapstick instead.
+Madness In DR3 all the optional psychopaths fit the "seven sins" theme, which would seem like a good way to spike up the horror, but now it lacks the whole humor and originality to them. Take the mailman from the second game, he went crazy trying to deliver the mail and was made at Chuck for causing the outbreak, and the player wants to beat him, because he has zombrex you need for your daughter.
I liked the heavier, industrial feel of Dead Rising 3's tracks (mostly the ambient stuff), but most of them were less memorable as were the boss fights... I liked Zhi (Wrath) for a relatively cool boss fight with fitting music, and being somewhat sympathetic and Albert (Greed) for being a truly evil character with a conceptually disturbing and unique boss fight (albeit tedious). I just wish the bosses weren't so easy as they were. The difficulty of the bosses in 1 and especially 2 made them more intense and memorable.
There's Harry Zhi Wong, what with the Chinese motif, and General John Hemlock's theme did have somewhat of a call-back to Firewater from Off the Record.
*"Time to stop holding back..."* Brock Mason is the final boss of Dead Rising. He is unarmed, but he is very good at hand-to-hand combat, easily dealing high damage. He can also block attacks to reduce (but not completely negate, I think he still takes around 10%) damage, and try to grab Frank. If the grab is successful, he will attempt to choke Frank out, rapidly draining his health. Wiggle the left stick to break free. If Frank is in the chokehold for too long, Brock will snap his neck, instantly killing Frank. You fight Brock on top of his tank, and zombies have swarmed it. They aren't able to get up onto it, but be careful not to fall off, or you'll have to jump back on it while dealing with the zombies. Brock will not follow if you fall off, he'll just repeatedly laugh instead. You can take a picture of his laughter for Special PP. Frank lost all of his weapons and items when the tank rammed into the truck he and Isabella were driving, so you'll have to fight Brock unarmed. There are no items to be found except for any queens that happen to be on zombies.
The landing roundhouse kick after the jump kick does like 15 or 20 percent damage to this guy. I'm glad I got really good with the bare handed before fighting him.
You know when you think about it the boss fight really only lasts maybe a minute of frank almost dying multiple times until getting a lucky shot on Brock that knocks him off the tank into the zombies
The trick to fighting Brock is to have him whiff his attacks, go in close and make him miss, then strike the right side of his body. The fight could end in like 10-20 seconds if using the double lariat if it's been unlocked.
Underrated final boss Like come on you fight him on top of a tank surrounded by hundreds of zombies And I probably the reason why because Broc like k is an forgettable character In the Dead Rising series, a lot of people remember the clown over him obviously
It's mostly because we only really get a glimpse of the character during Overtime. And no joke, some didn't even know that exist, despite starting after Ending A.
I still can't believe they put this soundtrack in Dead Rising Chop Till You Drop mission where you have to deal with all the zombie parrots and poodles... it doesn't get any funnier than that.
***** problem is chop till you drop was much easier then the normal dead rising, surprisingly the different engine and style they used made most of the psycopath fights easier, even brocks, which focused on melee combat which chop till you drop didnt, it was simply easier to control a fist fight in chop till you drop and the melee was much more powerfull in it too. at least imo.
Isiah Venut Brock wasn't too hard for me. He knocked me down off the tank a good amount of times, but after a few jump-kicks, I roundhouse kicked him once and he died. But, then again, I was lvl 50.
Steve Craftia Plus jump kicks are one of the cheapest ways to beat him if i recall correctly XD. its when you try to fight him head on that he becomes though. Though jump kicks in dead rising 1 were pretty OP compared to later games.
I wonder if Chuck in DR 2 will have to fight soldiers and/or their commander at some point? I mean I've played Case Zero and all, but all I see is zombified soldiers. Not complaining though.

@SlyGuy2895 The US version of Tatsunoko vs Capcom didn't have ANY character themes, although the Willamette Mall stage had... well, mall music. I personally was hoping for a remix of this theme in either game, but never happened. Who told you this was West's theme in TvC?
Why did all video game villains of this era have this same phenotype? Bald military dude in blue fatigues. Splinter cell Chaos theories villain looked the same way. I know there’s more than that from this time period.
