This is the Story DLC for Dead Space 3
Dead Space 3 is set in 2514. After the events of Dead Space, EarthGov captured Isaac Clarke and harvested his mind for Marker blueprints in order to revive the Marker program, in which Markers are used to provide resources and power for the Human race. The Marker built by a delirious Isaac on Titan Station somehow "activated", resulting in another outbreak of Necromorphs. Isaac then escaped with mining engineer Ellie Langford after he destroyed the Marker, resulting in Titan Station's destruction.
Isaac and Ellie continued to hide from EarthGov and resided on the New Horizons Lunar Colony, a city found on Earth's moon. In that time, Ellie's lost eye was replaced and the two developed a romantic relationship. However, due to the events Isaac had witnessed and Ellie's ambition to stop the Markers, the two broke it off. Ellie left to figure out ways to stop the Markers while Isaac stayed in hiding and quickly regretted breaking it off with Ellie.

@@TheTillmanSneakerReview Life has many walks, but our end is always the same. I guess Necromorphs, individually, symbolise people who've become corrupted within (because Evil carries a rotten heart). But as for the end, it probably refers to the fact that everyone is doomed to die...sooner or later. You can postpone your death, but you can't avoid the grave forever. In mythology, 'death' is symbolism for transformation (or more precisely just 'change'). As such, a metaphorical way of 'dying' can be to let go of your past self and what you used to do.

Actually...when it comes to uniting an entire species into a single entity, the Reapers and the Brethren Moons aren't actually that different from each other. Sure they are different things, but both blurs the line between individual and collective. Both creates a new member per extermination.

This kinda remind me that Stephen King Movie, about mobile phone signal turning people to zombies. Closer to end movie heroes tries to stop signal by destroying its said source and they succeeded, live happily after all but then its revealed that actually they failed and became mindless zombies too. It seems that other people don't even know what happened with them, they locked inside their minds.

I know I might be in the minority but I like the idea of the Necromorphs winning in the end. It explains the Fermi Paradox eerily well and there’s something charmingly Lovecraftian about a malevolent force of this magnitude ultimately getting what it wants. Despite our heroes’ best efforts, they’re only human and mankind’s ultimate extinction adds to the horror.

Well ... if you think of it logically, hell yes humanity lost. I try to think, what difference would it have made if Isaac could have warned Earth ? They would have gotten their wow 25th century fleet to fight against ... living planets made out of zombies that are millions of years old ? I mean ... how do you actually win against that ? Sure there was the machine on Tau Volantins but that's on Tau Volantins, Earth had to fight them with bullets and we all saw how well guns worked for humanity in Dead Space 1 and 2.

They're called "Twitchers," and they're extremely fast, not because they exercise everyday after eating chilidogs, but because they use stasis to speed up their bodies, not slow themselves down. They're like Kenshiro and will repeatedly stab you like a living test dummy until they can confirm you're "already dead."

The save system is unforgivably bad, the number of lengthy arena fights in cramped locations are cancerous and the upgrade system/resource system isn't really that great but it's serviceable I'll grudgingly give it. The strange redesign of the suits so they're more curved rather than the hard angles you had in prior games looks quite out of place. The true ending being locked behind DLC.

I still have hope in Dead Space 4. Hopefully on PS5 and with a different studio or something. Like what cinema's world do. Like what they did with Crash Bandicoot N Trilogy. Fingers crossed for the day that happens. The Gaming world will be so excited and trilled that even I will camp 2 days straight outside the store just to buy it!

@@Interestingworld4567 I have my doubts that DICE would do great of a job. In my opinion, they would make DS4 without DS1/2/3's story and horror essence. What I think it would be the best approach is that EA should definitely give dead space franchise (or just DS4 itself) to a more capable and reliable studio. (what I mean by reliable is... we know for sure that the studio wouldn't screw the franchise/game up)

@@Interestingworld4567 About Hardline, Visceral was like 20 to 30% part of it. You know that DICE basically did it all. DICE have no handpower to create DS4 because they are a multiplayer focus studio. Imagine DICE creating a new uncharted or a new god of war. I can already imagine gamers breaking the discs.

EA is type of company which purchases ans shut down studios. They pretty much dont care at all. Can they revive Dead Space? maybe, but not necessarily in way people expect. For example they "revived" Dungeon Keeper as mobile game with tons of in-game transactions.

There will probably not be a fourth, and it does sadly make sense that there will not be a new one because look at how it ended, Earth was being consumed by the Brethren Moons. What is there left for Isaac and Carver to do? Sure they could duke it out with the Necromorph King in Dead Space 4 but ... Earth is gone man, the colonies fell in Dead Space 2 ... it's fucking over, the fucking space zombies beat us.

Both EA and Viscerall have said it's not cancelled. “Many, many people here at Visceral have a warm spot in their heart for Dead Space, and right now we’re busy with Hardline and…other things,” … “but it’s definitely something we’d love to look at again.” “There’s definitely a lot of interest internally for us to pick that up again at a future date.” - Straight from Visc DS3 didn't sell that well, but they will revisit DS in the future.

Lol, well, as a fan of horror I love when stories end in chaos death of worst than the beginning, It reflects life itself, there-s always another challenge... and I love the Idea of a DS in a really fucked up earth. The game has a great take on the death Issue, with this alien entities seeking to achieve unity to withstand the emptines of space and darkness... Cosmic horror at its best. That's why :)
