Dead Space 3 Review - is it still worth it in 2021 

This is an excellent game. I picked it up recently for the 3rd time after years and I completed it in a little more than 2 days. I just couldn't stop. The action is top notch, the atmosphere is and the horror and tension are still therein spades (especially if you play it in high difficulty: you'll shit your pants). The environments are varied and overall beautiful: the outer space roaming section gotta be one of the best and most atmospheric experience in video game history period. I bought the expansion at full price (9.99) because I wanted even more and to send a message to EA that I want this franchise back. Best game in the series, now I have no doubt.

I still play this game today in june 2022, the weapon updates is the main drive to play this game again, to collect many upgrades and weapon parts to destroy necromorfs with dozens of different weapon combinations.

I really appreciate the positive coverage of this game. It gets a bit irritating when some critics and fans get extremely over critical of DS3. It’s not a bad DS game. I agree the love triangle was very annoying but I still enjoyed everything else in the story(The ruined ships, The snow planet, and the underground city). This game feels like a mix of DS, uncharted, and fallout 4(weapon crafting). Plus it’s really awesome how we see Isaac turn into a legendary warrior aka “marker killer”. It feels like the whole action idea was inevitable after we fully understood the threat.

I think Dead Space 3 is so underrated. Even if it's not that scary I think it's amazing. I love it.

It changes it up enough where it's not to repetitive, you don't want things to be too much the same, and every trilogy changes things up from each game. Dead Space was a perfect stand alone, and I bitched when 2 came out, and argued that the protagonist was killed at the end and to leave it be. Dead Space 2 blew my mind when I played it 3 years after it came out, its widely considered the best in the series and I agree. Dead Space 3 was originally developed as a single player game, they changed focus around 10% into it after the player left the open space location. I still play them and have the enhanced versions on Series X. I have played the 1st game around 15 times, the 2nd game around 40 times, and the 3rd game maybe 5 times.

This game is has excellent production qualities.. A hidden gem of a game... Very good value single player story... My only complaint is the auto save as the othe previous games had a manual save at the work bench which I much prefer.. If only they made this in vr for the ps5? . Great vid....

Anyone who says DS3 is a bad game is lying to themselves. Just because it’s not as scary as it’s predecessors doesn’t mean it’s a bad game. it has some flaws but it’s a very entertaining and fun experience. DS3 is probably one of the best sci-fi space games ever made

I played DS1 way back on PS3 when it came out and loved it. It's one of the few games I ever played multiple times. Then, I played DS2 on PC close to a decade ago, and it was not nearly as good as the first one. I picked up DS3 several years back for dirt cheap - because PC. I haven't taken a crack at it yet. I'm not seeing anything earth-shattering from the video. I also have Prey on PC to play, which I will do first and on my shortlist. But the review was beneficial! So many games, so little time.

I actually really like your final thought about whether It's worth it or not. Everyone has a different opinion on everything. You had your gripes with it and that is your opinion. I sort of look at it as am I having fun with this game. My answer is yes. As long as I'm having fun. That's all that matters. I don't like saying a game sucks. But I will say it about bf 2042. Great video.

Dead Space series is just amazing... Wish we got dead space 4 in future

I finally have a friend with a PC that wanted to play DS3 coop! I forced him to go for impossible for his first play through 😈 I love all three games. But purging necromorphs in DS3 is my fav for sure. Also, doing impossible with nu unlocks is amazing! Oh, and we play with gyro aiming. Fuuu yea! FORRR THE EMPARAH!

All the dead space 1,2 3 awesome except don't play in the dark and wearing headphones it's quite scary and sweating

Played dead space for the first time on my 360 when it came out had no idea what i was getting myself into! I think i was like 16. Powered through the whole game even though i shit my self like 20 times….good times

This is an amazing game if you've got a good buddy that you like to annoy and also have a great time with. Always worth it.

When dead space 1 came out I played it multiple times and got all the achievements. I beat dead space 2 once when it came out and when the third one came out I played it but never finished it. When they announced they were remaking dead space I decided to go back and play them all again. I just finished all the achievements on dead space 2 and immediately started dead space 3. I’m only an hour in and I already feel like the gameplay and feel is terrible compared to the others. I’m going to play it till I get all the achievements regardless and hope they fix everything if they decide to remake the entire trilogy

I've played all 3 main games, and while I acknowledge that the first one was a better horror game, I personally feel that Dead Space 2 is a better game for its story, because the scale of the horror has overwhelmed you and encroached into the world itself. The Ishimura was a tragedy that could be hand waved as an isolated mistake; Titan Station was a goddamn catastrophe that woke you up. We get a brutal understanding that there are literally NO Good Guys to root for, and you can really only count on yourself and maybe a minimal number of others (debateable). The Government is corrupt, the State Religion is a fascist cult, and the people are either nihilistic shells or brainwashed lemmings, all helpless lambs to the slaughter. 3, sadly, was doomed by EA meddling (and a little butthurt from Visceral), but there were ways to theoretically make it work: -Co-op, but separate paths. Each player still operates solo, but the objectives can now be completed simultaneously instead of insequence; combat *rarely* occurs where both players are in the same vicinity. -Workbench, but crafted weapons break apart over time, requiring multiple guns in your inventory (emulating that the tools and equipment to craft are subpar and prone to mishap) -no microtransactions, obviously -human enemies get attacked by necromorphs (I mean, why wouldn't they?!) My personal favorite gun combo in 3 was S.C.A.F. shotgun and Force gun. Knock'n Drop.

Whether dead space 3 is worth buying or not is all about personal opinion. If you think it is then buy it. If you don't. Then don't buy it. We all have different opinions. Let's just say that

I've recently played this game and some mechanics feel quite clunky. The story itself is cool but the flaws are upseting many times. I myself wouldn't recommend revisiting this one.
