Hard to believe this game was released 11 years ago. The graphics still look amazing to this day. I think this is one of those games where it is still terrifying no matter how many times you play it. At least for those gamers who get terrified easily by games like this.
In my opinion, dead space is the scariest game to ever exist. Scarier than doom, scarier than cod zombies, scarier than ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Dude- I played the first game and never beat it. Never went past that one part where you have to travel through the huge gravity chamber. That initial shot of that "chunk of rock" when they first make it through that hyperspace stuff is just...chilling the ishimura was horrifyyyiiiing. I didn't end up beating it ever. Not because it was hard, but because it was SO. FUCKING. TERRIFYING. I don't think I've ever played a game as scary as this before or since.
One thing is bad... the holograms are only one color. Which is stupid considering they have warp drives and gravity tethers. How little did they invest in holographic imaging.
That is not a meteor. Planet cracking meant they were actually pulling the planets apart to mine the chunks for minerals. When the gravitational tethers failed, the big chunk of rock fell back to the planet. And that is what you see there, the part of the planet that was torn and left the crater behind.
I just watched doom and wondered how long it would take for doomguy to exterminate every hostile on the ship, he wouldn't exactly fix things but he'd make the place safe.
One of most amazing games ever made. Every aspect of the game was rigorously planned and executed: story, gameplay, sound, action... everything. A masterpiece.

The scenes with the Hunter chasing you and it’s growl gave me anxiety but I love it, that thing really hates Isaac if you see the way it kills him. Double stab then chops Isaac up into little pieces and finally decapitation 😱 lol
So which is of the two is the spiritual System Shock's successor: Bioshock or Dead Space?? I've read Dead Space took something from Resident Evil 4, so I don't know really nothing. Never played System Shock and the first Bioshock (I got the 2nd directly) but for what I see from some YT gameplays, if I ever have to play System Shock, I'll need a new drawer of pants more than Dead Space.
Yeah, I used it much. The 2nd fire mode, that kind of grenade, it's very useful if you first slow down them, even a little group, with the stasis then you place the grenade near their leg and watch the lasers that come off when it explode, dismembering them all in slow-mo. 😁
FUN FACT: I hate horror movies and never watch them because I hate jumpscares even if I'm grown (I don't jump from the chair or scream, I freeze and my heart too) but I completed this game 100%, playing it even at night, in the dark and alone. My friend watches horror movies very often and like them but he can't play this game because it terrified him even with my presence to give him hints.
Herr Anonymous Because the marker made them insane and they killed each other, while the survivors either killed themselves or were killed by the now massive army of necromorphs, and note that they had absolutely no idea how to kill them until they were already down to single digits.
A good amount of people wants this to be remastered. But after this remake they should focus on DS4. Dead Space is in extremely need of sequel. The cliffhanger at DS3 is a huge setup for a 4th installment.
The final boss seems strange and comes out of nowhere but it could make sense if it was the markers physical form and the marker was just a prison for it, but it`s not so who cares
This game wasn't scary just because of it's jumpscares. Don't get me wrong, it's jumpscares were scary as fuck but the scariest thing about Dead Space is it's suspense. Something that Dead Space 3 didn't seem to have.
The Dead Space universe is even more depressing than the Dark Souls universe. You die in both universes yes, but in Dead Space, there's like a slow torture and pleasure in your death. So I say - NOPE.

this game was awesome I'm playing it on steam but the game tactics and ammo usage frustrating when it comes to saving money credits and just tryna survive but E.A did good all I can say for a horror game.

First time playing it and I had nightmares for a month played a few months ago because I remembered I had it wasn't to scared now I wish I didn't lose it so I could play it again
All three games are free with ea acces. I know it's playable on xbox one but not sure if it's compatible with ps4. I don't know if pc have ea acces either.
