Im amazed by how open the team has been with us and willing to take criticism. This is an A1 standard I hope other developers move towards in the future
@@HelloKolla I never thought EA was that bad, a company that really disappoints me is ubisoft, with many trailers showing what doesn't represent the final product. At least EA games have a more faithful quality to the trailers.
Looking forward to the release of the remake. I can appreciate and respect the devs' artistic decision not to alter the direction of the original source material making the remake the defacto definitive way to play on current hardware.
What baffled me was how honest they said it wasn’t finished (in the live video earlier), yet how much they wish to add before they can even go so far as calling it a well made game. In comparison to other developers who never state the situation, they merely say they will release it while it isn’t even tested. These tests shows nicely each of the progess they got for the game and their intention to it. It’s like reading those research papers on why projects are done and how they did them. This is perfectly done visually and I hope they take their time for this game to become a masterpiece!
I am so happy to see how well and how much effort you are putting into this remake. It may turn out to be the remaster the community always wanted (calling it remaster is reductive since you are doing a real remake as the name suggests!). I hope that all the DLCs are in the game and that after this game in released you start working onto a Dead Space 2 and 3 remake!
This is really cool to see. Not only do I just love watching breakdown videos like this to see the incredible tech that goes into building these games, but it's for a game that I'd love to see a remake for and I currently love what I'm seeing. The only "nitpick" I have after watching this is that the sparks seem a bit too abundant and long lasting. They typically don't look like waterfalls of wispy light, but short lived and flicky. They shouldn't share the same properties of water. But that's it. Otherwise I'm totally grateful for what being shown this stuff. It makes me excited for the game whenever it comes out (no rush). Thanks for showing these!
i love realtime volumetric smoke in games. its rarely used even tho the tech has been around for years. i think the only time i seen it extensively used was in batman arkham knight. looks great and adds a lot of realism.
3:50 I'm curious, did the interactive fog make it into the final game? Or was it cut for performance reasons?? The morgue has a lot of low hanging volumetrics but it doesn't seem interactive.
I have the same question. It seems they took it out. Even upon the release the game wasn't running in 1080p which I assume is to save resources. Adding the interactive smoke would probably affect the performance significantly
@Renars Kukuks yea this disappointed me since the game seems pretty well optimised (1440p 60fps) I expected the dynamic fog to at least appear in the 30fps mode on console, if not on PC anyway?
I hope you guys will notice my comment, I can't wait to pre-order it on Day 1 on steam. I hope it wins a game of the year 2023. Great job. Even Elon Musk loves Dead Space. You can find it in his Twitter timeline. Thank you so much. Dead Space should continue like the Resident Evil series. We need VR support. Dead Space 2 and 3 including DLC after this then Dead Space 4, also we want Dead Space Extraction, Dead Space Ignition, and mobile one remake for all platforms. Make John Carver's own story game. Make games out of those 5 novel books and comics. You guys have lots of possibilities and potential. Make us Whole. I also want Dead Space animation movies, tv-series, and live-action movies just like Resident Evil. Please make Dead Space great again. Continue the journey. Keep making Dead Space Make our Dream come true.
There's a deadspace audio podcast coming in 2024 and James Wan live action deadspace film but there are no release date yet. Deadspace will rise again ❤
The Font you use in this video is meh. The letters aren't that damaged just digital. The writing should look like large container ships are marked, painted with templates. I like the spark idea. A cold two stage fire would be interesting as well as cold welding. I hope to see some lingering smoke just on the floor hiding something till it's blown out. Ground position lights, hazard lights and the some lighting from the outside will go well with it. Shooting different objects through the smoke would be nice as well maybe some blood mist depending on the weapon used or when stomping on things. The displays on the weapon should be harder to see as well.
I have no doubt it will be a technical marvel and that's great. However, please please please don't touch the story or try to retcon anything for the sake of 'the message'.
I think they said this time around they are doing racially diverse necromorphs. Ab so lu tely nothing wrong with that ofc. I must wonder, however, if certain transformed individuals were afroamerican, would we call them negromorphs? I await my punishment..
maybe adding some notes referencing DS Extraction would do, since the og was initially we're able to get through the sewer part of the ship, but I hope it was entirely optional as in DS3
Nothing feels fantastical or takes you out of that horror mood. This is why RE, gets beat by games like F.E.A.R, S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Metro, and of course Deadspace. Because it's hard to get too scared, or even notice the fear element. When hot woman butt is crammed into superhero tight spandex. And bouncing in front of you (Not saying it's a bad thing I'm saying it makes it less scary. Note: "less scary")
I hope what you show will deliver because if you show wow things now just to atract fan base and do marketing its patetic but if you deliver what you show bravo👍👍
dude most studios don't even show you the progress, they just give u a cinematic and thats it. You should be happy that you getting to see parts of the gameplay. Looks pretty solid for now. The smoke part was impressive, usually you don't see something like that, nice attention to details.
@@Pir-o Dont get personel but you live under a rock or what ? every game in 2022 show wow trailer e3 gameplay or in development this is why im sick to see this but in retail version the game look garbage this is call marketing they show us now this,to be more vibe for nostalgic players come to buy more and new people come to buy, check cybertrash 2077 there was same strategy like here
kinda funny that these videos go into great lengths into explaining what work they did in an attempt to increase immersion - which actually completely destroys an sense of immersion.
So while you're playing the remake you'll definitely be fixated on the light cone shapes and the density ratios of the fog instead of how much health and ammo you have?
@@bionicles well no, ill have the memory of dweebish dev voices in my head instead of fearing viral aliens causing acute trauma leading to my instant fatality.
