Came here to say THANK YOU for an absolutely incredible remake of this game! It's as close to perfect as you can get. The respect shown to the sound design in this makes it a truly magical experience just like the original x
yeah the hollywood-style music didn't really scare me at all but the visuals look great. Hopefully they won't mess with the original soundtrack, which was perfect.
@@SweatLaserXP It was confirmed on one of the developer livestream that the original score from Jason Graves is there with some additional tracks made from Trevor Gureckis to go alongside the original score in the Remake.
@@jasonx1174 Well, we will see if this additional work manages to enhance the original soundtrack. Dead Space was a masterpiece for sound immersion, and I would prefer that they don't mess with the atmosphere too much.,.
@@SweatLaserXP the original had a trailer with actiony music as well, it came after the twinkle twinkle trailer. The remake also had a twinkle twinkle star trailer, and another trailer going for creeping us out. But the original twinkle twinkle little star trailer will always be the creepiest.
Definitely not, I cant imagine them not fucking this up. Just tons of added "cinematic" drama, that will make the experience as laughable as DB3. What made DB1 DB1, was the lack of unecessary drama. Just you, the player in 3 person, almost no cut-scenes, no face reveal until the end, no voice lines and only the ambient noises of the ship and whatever inhabitate it - giving you no way to anticipate if anything scripted was about to happen or not. The "modern" realism in grafics and sound ruins the experience, since the old clunky animations and level-design actually left more space for unexpectedness.
I'm right there with you. Dead Space is my all-time favorite horror franchise, usurping the Resident Evil series of that top spot. I'm so ready for this remake! I just hope its everything I'm expecting and maybe a bit more.
What makes Dead Space truly terrifying is the atmosphere and setting alone you never know what's to expect when being on The USG Ishimura and the sound design for the game really gave me the chills I'm excited to play this remake and experience it I love the dark lighting and just the fogginess to it! :)
@@maoduida387 yea, the nechromorphs aren’t the only thing that is diseased. The ship is infected, sick, and it swallowed the crew of the kellion whole, and now they have to fight of what waits inside the ishimura if they want to escape the decaying corpse that the ship had become.
0:50 I can’t stop rewatching this scene. The overall passion they depicted in this trailer is just outstanding. I hope this game will be on sale cuz the price is so high.
I've been watching the dev updates since day one, from the heart there's no group of people better suited to honor the original experience while adding something new and flavorful. I wish you a stable launch.
That's me lolol! I've never played a dead space game in my life, I'm 36! But I just beat Callisto protocol when it came out so after that n seeing the trailers n all that, I have to play this! I'll be at GameStop bright n early to get my preorder lol

Literally me. Never played this game/series and just watching the trailer for the first time. I’m probably going to get this game next after finishing the Resident Evil 4 Remake (another game I’m playing for the very first time since I never played the original either).
I can't wait to play this game. The dead space series has always been one of my favorites growing up. Kinda odd that they made a younger looking Issac and an older looking nico.
It kinda makes sense,Nicole being Senior medical officer would put her in her 40s at least while isaac is mid 40s as well but I'm gonna assume medical would make you age faster from all the stress and lack of sleep

I just pre ordered Digital Deluxe Edition on 5 January on Steam. You guys better Remake Dead Space 2 with the DLC story Severed. And the Rest of them are Remakes we want then Dead Space 4. Also Remake Extraction, Mobile one for all consoles and PC. Make Us Whole Again.
This trailer is actually phenomenal. The original had it's own terror that reshaped horror games, this feels fresh while respecting the original. I'm excited as a fan of the Dead Space.
I agree. They couldn't pull out the "Twinkle twinkle, little star" surprise again here. So they showed so many unnerving moments from original in this trailer. F... Hell no. I've got flashbacks from first my attempt from years ago
@CRF250R1521 nothing will come close to that trailer. I'm glad they decided to do their own thing instead of ripping off that original trailer. The references they have in the new trailer were tastefully done. Solid team seems to be working on this and the community together
Nicole and Issac almost appear to have swapped ages for the remake with Issac looking closer to his early 30's or late twenties and Nicole looking about a day from 50. Kinda weird.
Am I the only one who finished the game and now rewatches this amazing trailer several times per day for some reason? I love the music and Nicole's look at 0:59, such epic Please, Make Us Whole and deliver Dead Space 2 Remake!
If they could remake Dead space 3 with the devs original intentions before EA's interference... that would be amazing. Also their idea for DS4 sounded awesome too

@@freekill1018 Multiplayer games make better money. The Dead Space series was a commercial failure. You seem to have forgotten DS2 had multiplayer. DS3's team made a lot of terrible design choices without EA's input.
@@CrossClave No, all three Dead Spaces were commercial failures. You can have a critically acclaimed product that still fails commercially due to developing and marketing costs. The reason EA kept pushing content was they were hoping they could milk their new "trans-media franchise." They failed
From a person who always hated scary movies, somehow RE4 and Dead Space made me a survival horror lover... amazing both of these games (all-timers for me) are getting remade this year.
I hope with the success and recognition it’s getting right now , we get another game from these guys soon , loved the game then , love it even more now
I really hope this remake takes off so we can hopefully get more Remakes in the series and maybe a 4th instalment, I love this series to death and it would break my heart to see it fail forever
About two years ago, I remember thinking it's a travesty that we'll never get a Dead Space game again - remake or otherwise - especially in a world where survival horror has made a huge comeback, largely thanks to Resident Evil and some ace indies. But here we are...Dead Space is back, and I hope it's here to stay a while.
Everything so far looks so clean. One small personal thing I’m not so sure about is Issac doesn’t look like his original self, but I’m sure he’ll just be as badass as he originally was.
I noticed the same thing about Leon S Kennedy in the Resident Evil 4 remake..he looked much better in the original but I hope it won't matter once you're into the game
@@violetfem1808 Issac sounds like his original self, so I’m sure it won’t matter too much, probs just a little uncanny in a few cutscenes when he’s not wearing his helmet, but I might get around to liking the new look as well.
If I recall correctly, the original Dead Space was the first game I ever actually preordered. That's something I very rarely do lately, and after almost fifteen years since the original game, it seems appropriate that this remake is one of those rare cases. The passion Motive has shown for this is just as apparent as it was when they released Squadrons. Can't wait!

I first played Dead Space on mobile when I was like 13 because I couldn’t afford a console at the time and I absolutely fell in love with the game. I loved everything about it. When I found out they had discontinued the game I was devastated. Hearing that they are bringing this back, even if it is just a remake for now, makes me feel extremely grateful, I will absolutely be supporting the remake ❤️
Really wish we'd go back to the days when launch trailers were actually ON launch day. Other than that though, much to look forward to in two weeks. :)
Dead Space has been my favourite game since my childhood. It holds such a special place in my heart and the fact that we’re getting a remake of this masterpiece of a game couldn’t have made me happier.
Oh, it's beautiful... I am loving everything. The new voices and dialogue (especially for Dr. Mercer, he sounds especially menacing), new character designs, new cutscenes, new game segments and areas to explore, all of it. This could potentially become one of the greatest remakes of a beloved masterpiece, like, ever. And lastly, though it's gonna take a lil getting used to new Isaac's face especially, I'm digging the way he looks.
I'm sure there's gonna be mods that make Isaac look more like how he did in the original. But even then I remind myself that in the original at least there's only ever 2 times we see his face - the beginning and the end. Seems there's at least one other time based on the trailers before, but even then Isaac's face isn't the primary focus of the game so it shouldn't be that much an issue imo 🤷
@@Jormyyy Well in the original DS 2&3 Viceral games also used Gunnar Wright's face to model Isaac, they took Gunnar Wright's face as a reference to design and model Isaac Clarke's face, while in the remake they used the facial scanning technique, a very lazy technique for they part it will be hard for me to adapt on his new design after 12 years seeing the original Isaac
@@fporciel2209 he was partially based on GW in 2 and 3, but retained some of his original design, which was IIRC originally based partially on his DS1 va (guy who did all the yelling, breathing, etc) Unless there is a specific character desifn trait that needs to be defined with a custom design, I don't think it's lazy to use the actor's faces as the character's faces. New Hammond and Kendra and he'll likely even the pilots and crew do the same.
Yeah it was a major mistake to make it a melee Focus game. It really ruined the horrify but they were going for. You should want these things to stay away from you not get up close to them
Literally just replayed this whole game and now I'm on Chapter 10 of Dead Space 2! To say I'm looking forward to this Masterpiece is an understatement! By far the best horror series of games I've ever played. Love to see a remake of 2 aswell! Just leave the third out please :)
I'm so glad Dead Space is getting another chance to shine. I was sad when Visceral was dissolved, I was afraid Dead Space would be just another amazing franchise left behind along with so many others.
Honestly i hope this goes well if it does give 2 the same treatment and overhaul dead space 3 I really would like to see 2 with these kind of graphics and any additional content that the would put in
I played this game for the First time in this remake and I loved it! I am now playing the DS2 xbox 360, because I fell in love for the Dead Space story. The best survival I have ever played!
This makes me miss the voice actors from the original. Not to mention hearing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. When trailers could grab your attention with a public domain song played creepy.
I'm glad Isaac is trying to save his mother. Nice twist from the original that they changed from trying to find his girlfriend to trying to find his mom. It's heartwarming.
Really liked the gameplay impressions we got this far and am very optimistic about the remake - but I have to say that I didn't really like this trailer. Kind of generic, nothing compared to the original trailer with the Sigur Ros song or the twinkle twinkle little star one. Those were much more anxiety inducing.
I just played it for the first time today and I have to say, I'm glad I haven't looked at anything else yet because holly shiz! It's awesome! Even more spine chilling than the original! And I appreciate Isaac's voice!
@deenman23 firstly I'd say the original was 18-23 and I didn't know the remake age. Ingame the character model looks fine, its just the cutscenes dark shadows that make her look old. Secondly, it's a joke!
@@deenman23 That's a terrible narrow minded and ignorant explanation of fans worried about potential poor treatment from a studio under EA as well as fans wanting a faithful remake that stays close to the source material. The studio should of known the reaction from fans, who wanted a return from the franchise, as first impression matter and the first impression was her looking 65
Such a gem. I'm jealous/envious of those that get to play this story for the first time. One of the greatest games ever created! Without a doubt my favorite gaming series of all time. I'll be buying this this weekend :)
All the trailers, videos from Callisto Protocol also looked great. Hold your horses boys, we live in 2020s, where almost every AAA game is a disaster at launch and many stay that way forever.
Now this looks great. I recognize a lot of locations from the game, and these graphics are truly something - the game's original style, with more detail than ever. I have high hopes that it'll be as great to play as the original, and as it looks.
This might sound strange, but I played Dead Space with my, at the time, 4 year old daughter... She insisted on staying up with me, so I figured it would make her go "OH HECK NO!!" and go to bed... She proceeded to call out enemies, and was enthralled the entire time, it didn't even phase her... Was one of the best 2 days ever... So now, scarey stuff is kind of just our thing (and action movies like John Wick), my other 2 daughters hate the stuff... And if you met her, you would NEVER assume that she's a horror junkie... It would be like if Rapunzel was also in a death metal band... Best part, is that we call our movie and game nights "PARENTAL FAILURE NIGHTS" just so other people are like "Wait... WHAT??."... I think I'm at like 847 now... 😁👍
