The original intro, weapon sounds and videocalls are much better, I don't understand why they changed them. The first necromorph in the remake is just showing off, whereas the original leaves you guessing and only makes it visible in brief flashes. The remake plasma cutter sounds like a nerf gun and has no weight. The new videocalls look like a cheap filter that could be in any sci-fi game, while the original added to the game's creepy atmosphere and isolation.
Why did they make Nicole look like an old woman? Like they really did the voice actress dirty. The worst change imho is when Kendra gets splattered, it happens so fast in the original it's kind of surprising. When it happens in the remake it's drawn out with "take my hand" and you don't get to hear her heartbeat monitor cut out.
I can’t believe they changed Isaac as much as they did. Isaac looks so different I wanna change his name when it pops up on screen for his dialogue. Well call hem (brad , or Tom) 🙌 😅
I don't know, man. I kinda like the original maybe because of back then the graphics limitation forces them to make everything kinda distorted, dated and just feels the whole ship a bit weathered. Like actually being abandoned. And the remake's version plasma cutter feels rather weak, the original has that punch to it, like an actual tool for mining. You could actually see that Isaac felt a bit of recoil when using plasma cutter in the original while the remake is like using a paper cutter
I don’t think so. I think it’s because the original no one knew about it you see ? It was new and no one knew how scary it would be. Trust me if dead space remake was actually not a remake but the very first time we got that you wouldn’t say that
@@j.c1789 well, yes, a huge amount of ammunition (at the same difficulty level as in the original) and free weapons in the remake is so scary ... And the accelerated rate of fire ... And the main character running like the Flash is a new level of horror, uh-huh. The original is an absolute survival horror, atmospheric, breathtaking. The remake is a beautiful action game that has lost important details.

The original was really slow because they didn’t had the technology to make the character faster than this they could have but it would have looked weird. + you’re speaking about amount of ammo and free gun but did you even realize those are people who test the game it is a comparison video not the actual gameplay so your argument is invalid especially if you take dead space 2 that had free guns weapons and armor if you owned dlc. + I am sorry but the atmosphere of the original was really bad. Too much light everywhere you would see the necromorph comes in a miles away dead space 2 understood it and made the whole game dark the remake understood it too which is why it’s way more scary take the gen room for example the original was lighted as fuck the new one ? You can’t see shit which makes you scared more of what is lurking in the dark. The monsters are even more disturbing now than before because it’s way more well done.
@@AlexanderWake777 + the rate of fire being faster is justified by the monster being faster let me tell you that if they made the fire rate of the original that was terribly slow with the speed of the necromorph of the remake it would have been unplayable
I like the original better..they could’ve just put all those resources into a new game. Oh shit I said a new game, that means you actually have to create something new 🤷🏾♂️🖕🏾
@@hypebeastmemer272 well first of all the studio who made dead space doesn’t exist anymore so there will not be a dead space 4. Dead space remake is made by blueprint a studio specialized in remake games they are not from dead spaces developers. Second of all dead space 3 ending was perfect and really don’t need to change because only a few games have the balls of making an ending where we loose completely, whole humanity devoured by the brethren moons when we fought there was hope. So to me there is no trust to gain since it’s not dead space developers and it’s just a remake of an og game made to be beautiful looking
