I agree with Nicole. The network and the moderator should stop the candidate when he is claiming a known falsehood. Why should it be allowed? Certainly Joe Biden CAN correct him, but why should he have to ? That's not his job. He is there to explain his own position issues. Instead of returning the Presidential Debate back to what used to be dignified and informative, the media is publicizing it like a WWF rematch. I am not even going to bother to watch the circus.

That's a good question. In 2016 when he was running against Hillary he said exactly that. I suspect if we all vote democratic in November that there will be some changes to the laws to make this more difficult.

What if all those Trumpists - who feel that things are unfair and that they're being short changed - what if they stopped giving so much of America's money and resources to those uber rich corporations and people, who already have all the money, and maybe keep some - FOR THE PEOPLE. Maybe then they'd feel less screwed over.

I don't really believe that the Moderators should do the fact checking. All the have to do is to point out the false claims to both parties.. A third party should do the fact checking and splash it on the screen for all to see. And that is final. There should be no opportunity for any party to correct himself.

The moderator should not assist in the debate at all. Sleepy Joe needs to step up and show he has the mental faculties to call out anything he thinks is BS.
