You know I really wasn't going to go back and watch it but your comments spurred me on. So binged it out. I say I liked it starting episode 4. Once they calmed Eddie's character down from being overly abrasive. And they leaned into the mystery. I really enjoyed it. It definitely had a good story as I predicted. But some of the characters I found annoying at first, either became neutral or I actually ended up liking. I'd definitely be up for another season of it.
Thanks for your review it was nice to hear a non-Australian perspective. Being an Aussie myself they really nailed small town Australia and Australian humour.
I have watched the entire series many times now.. The Eddie character and thick accents were very off-putting at first, but I was intrigued enough to keep watching. As I got used to the accents and very bawdy sense of humor, I grew to love the series and can not wait for more.
