Makes me so mad that a lot of these places didn't even bother to try and rehome the animals at their parks! Poor things. The Crocs being left there for all that time broke my heart 😢
Yeah. It’s really sad that the owners of the parks that had animals closed the parks and basically left the animals there to die. And you’re right, they didn’t even bother to rehome them! They didn’t even try to find a zoo or aquarium that would be willing to take the animals. I don’t think they really cared about the animals enough to want to find new homes for them. Really sad…
As a mexican....I haven't watched but I already know were this is going, the animal situation will be in here, is so shameful that something was done just after a scandal in the media and news. But thanks God for that, poor animals. Being Mexican is always wanting to be seen by the world and then jumping to worrying about whether it is something extremely embarrassing or sad, this is both things.
I'm sorry to hear that. I had a close childhood friend for 15 years that lived in Mexico, so I've heard a lot about it. I'm hoping to vacation there sometime.
Water Wonderland in Midland TX has been demolished in 2022. It was bought by a company that is using the land for something else now. I grew up in Midland going there with my family and friends in the 80s. I was heartbroken when they announced it was getting torn down completely.
Fun Park Fyn actually got re-opened last summer as Fyns Sommerland (which was also its original name), but not as a park with rides, but as one with physical activities.. :P There's an entire video series about it here on RU-vid (think on TV2Fyn's channel if I remember correctly)! :D Looks like they're going strong for their second season as well, so that's pretty cool.. ^^ But as far as I know, they chose to keep the water park area as it was, as an homage to the original park, and to show the decay of abandonment.. :P
So sad to see the water parks we remember going to as kids close down and never reopen. As for the resort that was burned down due to arson, the first thing that came to mind was that someone deliberately wanted to destroy the park, but why? I don’t think anyone died in the fires, but they were still enough to force the park to close. Also, at 1:08 there’s a secret Lily Belle 🦆
It's so weird to know that Rock A Hoola was open when I was a kid because I don't remember it at all. We drove from Las Vegas to Victorville and back at least once a month between 95 and 2005, but for some reason I don't remember ever seeing it open. All my memories of it are as a derelict, abandonned park even though I must have seen it at least a dozen times when it was operating.
My buddy and I tried to skate the abandoned Prudhommes Landing slides, it was not a good idea. They are planning to build a subdivision there now, which would be nice, right on Lake Ontario!
Ive seen several videos on the dragon water park, locals say it failed bc in order to build they had to destroy an ancient statue, locals believe its cursed.
1:52 reminds me of that poor giant whale that’s to this day is still stuck in its enclosure even tho the theme park closed years ago. people have tried to do something for years but the whale can’t be rehomed since it’s too used to manmade enclosures. it just sits there staring at the same wall, not moving. they tried giving it a manatee as a friend and now they both sit there with enclosure rot :(
I'm reminded of a small water park I visited when I was a child. I don't remember what it was called, but all I remember is that it was relatively small and was on the Connecticut-Rhode Island border. I highly doubt it's still in operation today.
Wow. i used to drive by that Lake Delores water park for a year without knowing it was a water park. I just remember seeing a bunch of graffiti covered structures and cars being parked near it.
This is a compilation of two previous videos with updates. This video was released three years ago, but RU-vid is no longer promoting it through the algorithm, and we have many new subscribers who haven’t seen our older videos.
There's a way to say that about their mascot's voice without being rude about it. You could alternatively watch it silently and turn on captions, just a suggestion.
