It is true that all Poison Frogs can be dangerous to humans but some species are so toxic that just one frog has the ability to kill up to ten people!

he's more of a pokemon ranger. If you've ever played those games, you "catch" the pokemon and then you release them after they are done helping you. I think you get one permanent companion but besides that...yes. Coyote is a real life pokemon ranger.

What's funny is captive bred poison dart frogs are not toxic. I have a coworker who's been considering getting some so he's been doing some research. Similarly, the hognosed snake is believed to be toxic thanks to it's primary prey being poisonous toads. (Which makes them both mildly poisonous and mildly venomous.)

@@Vincent-nv3wcno frog is venomous but all frogs can be poisonous. It's on their skin they get it from bugs they eat. If they are not eating those bugs they won't be poisonous period. Even a poison dart frog won't be poisonous if it's not eating the bugs it eats in nature. You should never touch any frog on earth without gloves on and never eat them if you don't know what you are doing

It depends really. There are a few species that are truly deadly and you wouldn't want to touch it. This looks like a Oophaga Pumilio, and isn't one of them. Like he said, however, if you have a cut on your hand you'll be in for a bad time. Now the Phyllobates Terribilis on the other hand, that could quite possibly kill you just from touching it. The best rule of thumb is if you don't know what it is, don't touch it. Source: Dart Frog keeper/breeder for 6/7 years

Well it's a POISONOUS dart frog not venomous dart frog.... Poison is something that kills you when ingested, venom is something that when injected (for example a snake biting through your skin) will kill you

Poison Dart frogs have their names from a reason natives would take them put them over a fire with a leaf undernwath to collect their poison and then coat their darts in that Poison.

I remember watching one of Bear Grylls' programmes where he was in Central America and he showed how the native tribes who live there use the poison off Poison Dart Frogs to coat their blowgun darts for hunting. The poison is so potent that the guy coating the dart accidentally brushed his finger on the frog and his skin quickly swelled up.

It's crazy how educational this video is. Capturing a rare and unique frog on camera, teaching the viewers how to deal with it properly and catching a battle between the 2 frogs which is rarely seen let alone video taping it
