Only people who are deeply invested with York/Zach’s character will truly appreciate whats under the surface in this game. I truly loved every moment of it.
Makes me happy just knowing this sequel exists. I finished this game a few hours ago and this entire last scene was epic. At 3:06 - 3:33 you could Imagine York is saying this directly to the fans who kept hoping and asking for a sequel to happen. And we finally got it. It was so worth the wait :).
@@punishedbread4779 I think maybe York is from the White room that's why Zach could use "metaphysical offender profiling" while York was a part of him and how York could make him healthy again. It would kind of line up with some Twin Peaks stuff which was clearly a huge inspiration for the first game
Well spotted. The difference is that, instead of screaming "Don't you dare come any closer!" like how Diavolo did, Forrest yells this game's arc phrase on last time.
Oh my god! Massive epiphany. I understand the ending now. Hear me out. York is some kind of devil or entity. But not an evil one. He forms contracts with people in order to protect them. Zach called on him when he was just a child, and he possessed his body. But now, Patricia formed a contract with York, so now he's possessing her. Patti is the one typing out York's texts!
@@Its_PizzaTime Nah, think about it. How is Patty working for York if they’re in different states? Why is Zach texting York if they can normally just talk? Just watch Patty’s hands. She’s probably not even aware of it, but they are always on the keyboard when York sends a message. Zach’s body is too old to fight evil anymore, so York needed a new partner. That’s the special contract that Patty agreed to.
@@mostmelon When she says the "deadly premonition of ice cream" line, one hand is over her neck and the other is holding the laptop. How would she type the York message directly after that line with both hands occupied?
@@mostmelon How?? She's holding the laptop with one hand and presses enter? It's just a weird theory, York straight up possessing a young girl. I just don't think that's what Swery was implying
And this is the game I waited soong for.. such a shitty ending York dying .. well they still have aliyah if they can make a story abbout her i guess they can make up for yorks character
God, I thought my cutscene broke for a second with how the ending cut like that 🤣 wtf is that ending? I mean, I loved the story and most of the ending, but I still wish there was more hints to D4 and maybe even a revival, I wanted a continuation of that story so bad, and what was up with the Kaysen from D4? Why is he a thing? This game didnt really explain that at all sadly
This is Deadly Premonition not D4. We got all we need to know about what's going on with D4. All support on the investigation were cut despite the fact that the investigators wanted to keep working. In spite of that though, David has been getting louder upstairs above Zach. That could suggest that Swery is planning to do something with D4 in the future, just not now. Trying to continue D4 while also continuing the story of Deadly Premonition would have taken away from the story of both games.
