I personally don't like to call any electronic song by a specific genre because in reality, there's always going to be someone who disagrees. So yea, just call it Electronic. TL:DR, EDM MEANS NOTHING!

We do it because we love to do it, money comes in because others enjoy it. If you think music will get you lots of money because you do it, you're wrong. Most artists fall because there's no income, they didn't get far because they didn't show themselves enough. I have two really good studio speakers and a sub that gets that stuff, I'm saying, I think a well produced song shouldn't make people have to have subs or good speakers to enjoy the song, but stuff that anyone could hear (unless you've got a mono setup or a speaker broken, then that's bad), and that's why I hate most trap music. This isn't trap but just saying. This song just needs a couple more layers during the repetitive parts and well, not being so repetitive. Then it would be more exciting.

If it sounds like that, that was probably his intent, he's worked a lot on those tracks, so I don't think he under-produced this one, if anything he made a bold move by stripping everything and making just a percussive piece. It is different for sure, but it sounds good to me.

Real Faction have to completely disagree here.. if were talking speaker quality then we're essentially talking frequency range. If producers put out tracks within the "normal" frequency range accessible by lower quality speakers then they would be stifling their own creative palate. It's not the artist's fault that people use shit equipment to base their opinions on : /. Someone with shit speakers shouldn't be criticizing music on any level if they aren't investing in their own ability to hear the track to it's fullest.

I went to brazil once and there was a pet coelacanth and there was so many i had to do some maths but they said 4x4=12 and i was gonna sue the coelacanth but they have their animal rights and i figured sometimes things get, whatever. It doesnt matter any way i guess i should just walk away but there were people in front so i asked if they could move for me but then this guy dropped a poptart and i started to bleed, i started to feel jaded for lack of a better name. It was then october and i was at a farm and this fn pig took a shit on my cart so i told him to get in. And all i have is a finished symphony, i then realized the one thing that cant hang is a phantom. Then these guys started to give me grief and i felt they were proffesional griefers i gave them grief and asked how it felt to watch it burn. So then i was at a music store going through some random album titles. My cat named cthulu sleeps on a rug. But hes useless when i comes to catching mice so i set up a mau5trap and the next day i found a deadmau5

I'm not a hater, I like his music, I like this song, but I feel as a music producer with 8 years experience, it needs more. I CAN talk and I KNOW what progressive house is. Real Faction Well i have seen him live, best concert i've been to - no doubt; but some people make the mistake of thinking 100% of it actually is live mixed, nope - he's still DJ'ing while he's up there - horrible misconception to think he actually mixes everything live. his 2012 Tour was pretty much the same as Meowingtons Hax only with The Veldt and Closer added to the end; and a Wolfgang Gartner reveal in the middle - so what the guy above is saying is utter bullshit. You are absolutely right, he's gotten a tendancy to fall back on that buzzing rave sound - i like this song, i like most of his songs with a "ravy" feel - but it gets drab quickly; especially for such a diverse artist. that particular sound has definitely carried over from multiple songs off the last album ie. superliminal, get in the cart pig or whatever it's called. A lot of his songs do go together but that has nothing to do with the over abuse of it - some of the best combo's i've heard are "Right this second" with "Superliminal" or "Jaded" intro to "FML"

You might be looking at it from the wrong angle. The beat feels like it's not supposed to necessarily pound the buildup into your head or blast your face off, but to kind of ease off of the intro and settle a bit deeper and heavier. It is based off one of the Seven Deadly Sins, after all. Makes sense that it'd have some odd quality to it.
