Still can't believe some guy came up with these lyrics during a live video of Joel's and he used them in his official song, it does make it so much better though.
great song for a great book, this is how I got my middle school students to read after showing the video they couldn´t wait to read the story and find out what it meant
I have always found there to be something eerily 80's about this song, despite the modern composition... and then it occurred to me, the tune's notes closely match those of "second chance" by Thirty-Eight Special, albeit in a slightly different order
YOU ALL NEED TO READ THE STORY "THE VELDT"! IT'S WHAT THE SONG IS ABOUT. It's basically telling the story. The man who wrote it passed away a few days ago, and it's a really awesome story. He wrote it showing us how the world is changing for the bad. JUST READ IT! You'll like the song more :)
Wrong. Somebody from twitch sent Joel his vocal mix of this song, and Joel was highly impressed. He told Lindsey to check it out and said he hated the stutter part, but would edit it out.
me gusto mucho. the beats; the melodic sweetness and lyrical contentment paired against a background of painful dystopia. makes one fearfully uncertain which person he would be, in that future. ignore and return to head bobbing. And "lions roam" or "lions run" are both ok...clearly not "lions room". Cheers
Henry McGlade “Lion’s room” is actually the correct lyric, bc this song was inspired by a short story called “The Veldt” u can check it out if you want
Or in my case, become terrified of the song that was just a lighthearted tune before you read Bradbury's actual story. I forgot that Ray Bradbury was one of my go to authors if I needed some Dark Sci-Fi, and that one is definitely in that category. But yeah, "The Veldt" by Ray Bradbury is what you need to read to understand the lyrics of this song.
charlotte f-d but Ray Bradbury isn't a contemporary writer. Must be an old story rejuvenated by the song. I play this song every day since I discovered it from a coworker about a month ago. The voice and instruments, everything is fascinatingly luscious to my ears. And thanks for spreading the information about it. I'm going to goggle the story behind this song immediately. Thanks anew.
What do you mean letters? You mean the lyrics? The song is based off a short story by Ray Bradbury named The Veldt or also known as The world that the children made. Look it up on wikipedia if you want to know what it is about.
