Agree. Disappointed it probably WILL mean we won’t see Cavill again. Was hoping for future movies with him as a staple in the MCU. But maybe he doesn’t want to get tied into another long term superhero contract or is just too busy with Highlander and Warhammer in the works. Bummer

The way he plays Geralt in The Witcher is pretty much how wolverine is in the comics is. He doesn't talk a lot, but grunts. He doesn't look for fights, but he'll settle fights.

I want Henry Cavill to play a character in the MCU properly. Not some one off person but an actual character. It would be awesome if that character was Captain Britain but honestly don't know if they'll ever adapt that character. They should. He fits rather well with the Multiverse being a protector of the Omniverse.

Also, he was incredibly underutilized and frankly, mistreated at DC. He was my Superman. But if Warner execs are too stupid to realize what they had, I wouldn’t want him anywhere else than in the capable hands of the MCU. As long as they unfuck their writers rooms.

Fun fact: it doesn’t freaking matter! Jackman personified that role. They might as well retcon Wolverine to be 6 foot in the comics now too. Him being short adds nothing to his story or character. That’s like saying RDJ wasn’t a billionaire so he shouldn’t have played Ironman smh.

So I’m a downer now. Let Henry Cavill be Captain Britain so he can have multiple appearances in the MCU. Awesome if he could team up with Kit Harington’s BlackKnight and Sylvie Laufeydottir for Excalibur. With the X-men now entering the MCU, perhaps Nightcrawler can resume his slot. Fingers crossed Cavill’s Wolverine is just a variant that won’t preclude him from being Captain Britain.

Every time I see that shot of the secret wars comic laying on the ground by Deadpool… all I can think how this is an insider inside an insider 4th wall break… like, he didn’t know what was coming next so he got the comic, read it real quick and tossed it before the camera came back but didn’t throw it far enough to not be in the shot…

I love Cavill in any role he's cast in honestly. But Cyclops is so perfect in my opinion. Especially if they ever decide to go Avengers V Xmen. He's got that vibe for me!

I'm all for there being a Doc Doom appearance in the movie. As for Henry Cavill, I'm hoping that if he does appear as a Wolverine variant that it doesn't blow his chance to have a more prominent role in the MCU. I think he'd be great as any character they cast him as. The same with Daniel Radcliffe. Of course there are so many actors out there that would be great in various Marvel roles. I do get tired of the "fancasting" sometimes when they just don't know when to quit. Case in point, the "fans" complaining that they wanted Krasinsky when Pedro Pascal was cast as Reed Richards, constantly exclaiming that they should have cast Krasinsky and Emily Blunt despite the fact that they'd cast Pascal Kirby already.

I think Henry Cavill would be so badass as Cyclops I honestly hope he is Patch so it means he will be Wolverine in the upcoming movies. I don’t care if he is too big physically I’m fine with it for Cavill.
