I love that they didn’t waste Elektra, Blade, X-23 and Gambit. They took them serious and gave it one their own standout scenes. Channing Tatum was PERFECT as Gambit. The cards, the costume and the accent, they nailed all of it perfectly.
When that tribute played during the credits, it hit me really hard too. Even though alot of the movies in the reel were not exactly received well by their intended audiences, myself included, I was reminded that no film is ever made with the intention of being bad. An entire generation and legacy of Superhero movies of which I grew up through my teens with in one way or another shaped and directed me into the man I am today, and for that I will always be grateful for the magic 20th Century Fox brought me and to so many others through the years.
Not necessarily. I only have vague general-pop-culture-knowledge about several of these characters, and I love this movie for giving me more of an impetus to do a deep dive into them. "I understood that reference!" always feels satisfying, granted, but so does the dopamine spike of "oh yeah! I remember now that I always meant to get a Gambit omnibus, he seems pretty cool from what little I've read/watched of him"
@@アキコ2003 Because you gotta start somewhere, and not everyone enjoys doing things in the prescribed order? And because it is, oddly enough, possible to enjoy things without going all Special Interest on them. Personal Analogy: I'm into dog training, so I often catch myself thinking "Why would anyone ever even get a dog if they're not going to teach it 200 tricks and compete in several dogs sports??" ...But that's MY WAY of enjoying dog-ownership. Some, in fact most, people are "casual dog owners" and that's fine. Most people are casual enjoyers of most things, it turns out. See also: "neurotypicals" ;)
Just a little info for you, Ladypool is played by Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively, Babypool is played by their son, Olin, Kidpool is played by their daughter Inez, Cowboy Deadpool was played by Matthew McConaughey and Headpool was played by Nathan Fillion
I only saw this last night and went to one other reaction channel and yours .. you’re the only two that get as excited as I do about these movies. I collected comics in the last 80s and early 90s and loved when X-men finally was a thing etc… were they perfect, no. But it was still like nothing else at the time and I loved every minute of it
I held it together for the most part all through the movie at the cinema. But the credits honouring the old movies fucking broke me.. What a love letter to marvel fans.
This is my favorite version of Wolverine ever. That speech in the car was all about him being angry with himself. Yeah Wade makes him mad. But it’s the not taking things seriously that Logan has the issue with. Because that’s what he did. That’s why after that fight they basically become friends. He let him vent in a way that hurt no one. He went to sleep not drunk. The first night in many years I’d guess. I’d watch a show about Logan just living a normal life. Making friends. Being a leader for the community he’s living in. The hero stuff is great. But I want to get to know this Logan. 🤷🏾♂️👍🏾✌🏾
30:07 I would watch the hell out of this! Live-action or animated - could make it is a special season of What If, maybe. So many opportunities to make fun of the Spider-Verse, too.
I don't think the amateur magician was Strange. I think it was Donnie Blaze from She Hulk. Edited to correct: I originally wrote Johnny Blaze, but that's Ghost Rider.
I was hoping youd watch this early at home like you did with Endgame. Even Ryan Reynolds started spoiling the movie on Instagram the day it came out lol
Time to recomment. "First time in my life I am proud to wear this suit, i means im a x-men, i am thee X-man!" Thank you for reacting appropriately to that scene! So many reactors just brushed it aside like it wasnt the most tear jerking thing in a Marvel movie or anything ever. Easily the best sequence in the movie for me.
Sadly vinnie declined to return but he was asked by marvel and another character ryan wanted back was nicolas cage ghost rider but he also declined to be in a billion dollar plus box office movie
