!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED IT
So.... I'm realizing this is where some of my dark/NSFW humor really shows... I didn't realize how funny I thought this movie was, until I watched it LOL
It really had me dying and I think the sole leader in humor through every hero/anti-hero movie I've seen. The comedy really brought me a lot of joy and I DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE SO NSFW. like this has the most gore I've seen through any of these movies and it had really thrown me off LOL
Regardless, I really really liked it and I hope Deadpool 2 can keep up with this one, I can't put my finger on why exactly I liked it so much, but I really did. :)

The fun bit about the "Less angry Rosie O'Donnell" bit is that Ryan had gone through a bunch of different lines and on that one Gina actually punched him in the face. He immediately apologized afterwards, but it was too perfect and they used that cut in the movie.

@@dabreal82 as Josue Peña said, during the blooper reel you see Ryan go through this scene and Gina punches him right in the face and he immediately breaks character and goes "Sorry Gina." Similar things were done with the scenes with T.J. Miller describing what Deadpool looked like. They did a bunch of riffs and put what they liked in. Fun fact: the final showdown at the crashed heli-carrier was originally supposed to essentially be a big shoot-out, but they ultimately didn't have enough money to rent all of Deadpool's guns that he collects for that long, so they changed it to him forgetting the guns in the cab, and went from there.

The whole movie is built around the fact they didn't have the budget to do a lot. Like 75% of the film is built around the highway fight, just disguised by all the cuts away. Then the final helicarrier showdown for the big set piece. Everything else is very small scale.

Agreed. God I wish Disney would somehow lose pretty much everything they’ve bought out over the last 16 years or so. And their iconic OG stuff from their heyday. (Mickey Mouse and crew. Disney is completely undeserving of any of those old legends at this point, and I can easily see the various characters’ reactions to what the company has become. Stern, parent-like disapproval and scolding from Mickey. Confusion and dismay from Goofy. Angry, explosive ranting from Donald Duck that would probably sound a lot like my own rants. Even loyal hound Pluto would probably hang his head and walk away. Modern Disney isn’t even a shadow of what it once was. Completely heartless and soulless, obsessed with virtue signaling social idealisms in a vain attempt to compensate for that soullessness.) Such a rancid heap of garbage corporation these days.

The post-credits scene is a reenactment of the post-credit scene from Ferris Bueller's Day Off: a very popular 1980's comedy starring a character who is also constantly breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to the audience. Deadpool here is in the same hallway, wearing the same robe, and speaking the same lines (until he starts talking about Deadpool 2).

No problem to re-review a movie. Some movies you do have to watch more than once to appreciate all of it. Knowing more with the MCU definitely helps to get all the references. Ever since seeing Ryan Reynolds in "Van Wilder", I knew he was going to make the big time.

I just thought about this recently. Feels like partly why Ajax/Francis have 'super strength' is because of his ability to not feel pain, so he doesn't feel the muscle strain. That way he can push the muscle output more times than normal. Dude probably had 20 hernias in a week because of the strain and didn't feel it 😂

The traditional straight man for Deadpool is a character named Cable, who you will meet in the sequel. For whatever reason, they couldn't get Cable. Someone had the brilliant idea to use Colossus as a straight man. I don't know if anyone did that before, but he's so achingly earnest that it works. Colossus was created during the Cold War to remind Americans that even if our nations are in conflict, the Russian people are people. So Colossus is noble to a fault and achingly earnest (he's a Russian farm boy), but a dedicated communist who happened to believe in Xavier's political cause. Negasonic Teenage Warhead took her superhero name from a real rock song, which is just the dorkiest and most adorable thing ever. That makes it so funny when she tries to act tough and cool. Deadpool gained healing powers when he already had cancer, so the healing powers are constantly restoring his cancer, which spread everywhere. This is why he's disgusted and in constant pain.

I love Wade's humor in this movie. Searching a villain with a kid's drawing, crushing a guy with a Zamboni; that's hilarious! He has a joke for evertyhing, master of comedy! I like his catchphrase too '' Maximum effort! '' DP doesn't say it often in the second movie; here i think he said it 2-3 times.

Only one improvement I would have made... when 'Ajax' and 'Angel' are leaving the bar, Weasel tells them "Have fun at the midnight showing of 'Blade II'. That joke would have been WAY more meta if he'd said 'Blade III'... which had Ryan Reynolds in it.

5:15 As far as I can tell, he got his strength from power-ups, so he's a mutate, like Deadpool. In real world he'd be a mutanta, but Marvel makes a specific definiton of what a mutant is - born this way (basically having X-gene). Spider-Man is walking on walls, but he's not a mutant. Then there's all kinds of boosts you can get from magic (see Juggernaut). 5:27 Yeah, cause Ryan Reynolds himself campaigned long and hard to get this charcter right. Then some test footage "leaked" on the internet and there was no going back.

This is one of my main go to movies when I just want something fun to watch. I never get tired of it, and it makes me laugh just as hard every time. I have loved Ryan Reynolds ever since I saw him in the sitcom "Two Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Place" which was later named just "Two Guys, and A Girl".

Deadpool knows he's a comic character that's why he keeps talking to the audience. He knows we are all here so no reason to not talk to us lol. Your reaction to the IV cracked me up and made me feel bad for you. I started treatments in March so have to have labs and at least 1 IV every 3 weeks. A couple of weeks ago I passed out at the Dr's office and spent 5 days in the hospital with 24 hours a day IVs. I just can't imagine you would have enjoyed that and believe me I know because I had a bad needle fobia myself.

When Ryan was filming Blade Trinity someone gave him a Deadpool comic book and in the book some asks Wade what he looks like under the mask. His response was "a mix of Ryan Reynolds and a radioactive shar-pei". Ryan knew he had to play Deadpool. Test footage was shot and sat on a shelf until someone leaked in back in 2014. The fans loved it so much Fox was forced to green light this film.

So fyi, 127 hours is the story of a guy who went hiking and got his right arm trapped under a really big rock that fell. He had to sever it off after days of trying to find other alternatives to saving it

The actress playing Angel Dust, Gina Carano, was an MMA fighter before becoming an actress. So when she puts Colossus in an arm-bar, she actually knows what she is doing. She beat Rhonda Rousy twice. She is also on "The Mandalorian" as Cara Dune.

@VKunia In the comics, someone collected all the parts of Wade that got cut off of him over his various adventures and kept them in a fridge. At one point, all those parts melded together and created Deadpool's ultimate villain: Evil Deadpool. He has all the same powers and abilities, but he's less sane and has no moral compass. He also has two right hands....lol
