Fan service shoehorned in for its own sake is a bad thing. That is not what THIS movie does. I loved it. Dramatic acting, laughs, action, and all the while somehow staying as close as possible to the source material in the comics AND the movies, and still finding time for 4th wall breaks and tongue-in-cheek IRL references? The run time flew by for me. Loved every minute of it.

Hollywood doesn't do anything for us, they owe us nothing. They just want one thing, our money, in any way possible. Not intending to say it in a bad way or anything but to say they care for us and do it for us, is just plain make-believe.

Disney's making him play Wolverine til his 90.

they used cgi to make his body physique, his wolverine was both him and a cgi double in many scenes. so they CAN make him play till he is 90s, its a question of wether he wants it. the problem is. after this movie, AUDIENCE will want him and new guy would have a huge shoes to fill. laura was liked but she needs a wolverine to even exist, she is a legacy character.

@@bladerj I think the problem of Laura needing a Logan can be bypassed by simply using Dafne Keen's Laura as the MCU Wolverine. Is it messy? A little bit sure, but the MCU has rarely been 100% accurate to the comics, I think this it's a good compromise.

@@HobGadling1389 no that is cheap, and would be a stupid decision. audience want wolverine in the xmen, not a wolverine, THE wolverine, imagine if they use daken instead ? how would you feel ?

@@bladerj Laura is just as much The Wolverine as Logan is I really don't see the issue. The general audience is gonna have hard time giving the next actor to play Logan a fair chance so it makes sense to just introduce them to a new Wolverine rather than a new Logan. It's also worth noting the MCU has skipped characters in the past (Ant-Man) and that Miles Morales became "the" Spider-Man for a lot of people from his into the spider-verse movies so it is possible for audiences to love legacy characters. I could be wrong on this one but I think it's also been stated that marvel want more of a focus on the women of the X-Men in the upcoming movies so using Laura instead of Logan kills two birds with one stone.
