No Taylor Swift, no Ben Affleck Daredevil, and certainly no return to the Endgame battle. These were just some of the theories we got wrong leading into Deadpool & Wolverine. The ending with Logan and Laura at Wade's party has a lot more meaning since it's likely a callback to the dinner scene in Logan where it's the first time you see everyone being happy. In a way, they are fulfilling Xavier's dream of Logan finding a family.

i have a theory that Logan is lying about not knowing Laura, since when Cassandra Nova enters Logan's brain you can see clips of different movies INCLUDING Logan, which means either thats a big plothole or that he did actually experience all the events of Logan possibly where he ended up living somehow.

It wasn't the TVA that desecrated "LOGAN'S" Grave. DEADPOOL was at the Grave 1st & had already dug LOGAN'S CORPSE , before the TVA showed up after him ,& that's when DEADPOOL used LOGAN'S BONES & CLAWS to KILL the TVA Soldiers with. It was RUAN & HUGH that PROMISED that they would NOT mess with the LOGAN Movie at ALL, the 1st thing DEADPOOL does, is dig up LOGAN'S Corpse. This happens also within the 1st 30 mins of the movie.

Just wanted to mention that the rush towards the portal was because of Alioth. After opening the portal, Cassandra says "you have about 4 seconds before Alioth devours you" or something like that. Beside that, when Paradox brings Deadpool to the TVA for the first time and reveals his plan to destroy his universe he also mentions it's gonna happen in about 72 hours. So there is a time crunch for stopping the time rippper and the additional rush to reach te portal. Even though those 4 seconds last forever and the rest of the crew manages to fight off enemies,look up to the portal amd give some kind of nod of approval.

Exactly There's definitely a time rush. Alioth engulfs the compound AS they jump. This is the problem with reviewing something not then on physical media and rushing it out, it misses things

NR shouldn’t have to apologize and those people don’t deserve an apology but it is a nice series on their channel to address their theories.

I believe in X2 it was mentioned by stryker that adamantium when hardened is almost impossible to melt down to a liquid. Thats why theres a pool of boiling adamantium where wolverine was made

11:10 Paradox tells Deadpool that the Time Ripper would be functional in 72h before Deadpool breaks his nose, so he does have a timeframe. He shouldn't know that Paradox sped up the process after communicating with Pyro, and they only ended up rushing to avoid Alioth.

I disagree about the portal, we see portals to mundane situations constantly. You chose to make it bigger than it was. I love the contrast of racing against Alioth and ending up back in the everyday life that Wade was running from, in order to save it.

13:22 you're defining 'entering' in the MCU as being in 616. I think from Deadpool's point of view it's more meta than that, like he tells Wolverine when he initially brings him to the TVA : 'Welcome to the MCU...' , because they are already in an MCU movie. This movie also makes it official that universe 10005 is part of the MCU, just like any other universe we've seen aside from 616 in an mcu movie. From the trailers I didn't expect that at the end of the movie, Deadpool would somehow be in the 616, cause that wouldn't have made sense if it meant that he would have to leave behind the rest of the 10005 cast.

Deadpool exists beyond the 4th wall. So the logic and rules set up in the MCU or even in his own movies regarding time/universe travel don't apply to him. You can't really try to figure out what the rules are behind what he can/can't do, and what he is/isn't aware of because by design it'll never actually make sense within the confines of whatever media he's in.

In one of the trailers, Ryan Reynolds hid a video that basically said that there would be no further lore implications for the rest of the mcu in this movie and that it would be made just for fun itself instead of advertising the next movie. It was hidden in a qr code so that it would be seen by people scouring the trailers for hints and theories about the movie so that it would curb those kinds of expectations. Also, I think the misdirect of the mcu was intentional, with the start with Happy, the TVA, and a disguised Chris Evans, then the rest of the characters throughout the rest of the movie are from Fox. It's so you go into the movie thinking it's Deadpool's hello to the mcu, but it's actually a goodbye to Fox. I, personally, think it makes the goodbye more touching as it starts with excitement for the mcu, then turns it into a solemn send off to Fox.

14:22 I also don’t really like how they’re calling them all cameos, they are more like supporting role than anything else, Henry Canvill is a great example of a cameo in this movie, or the hulk, couple seconds to a minute of screen time for a pop in, so this movie shouldn’t be called a cameo fest at all.

That is actually a very good point that I didn’t think about because yeah Henry Cavill showing up was a cameo it was brief sweet and then it was done, but Blade, Gambit, Electra and Laura stayed for a bit and helped the main characters get to their objective so definitely supporting characters. A thing I got wrong was Deadpool fighting the TVA agents was gonna be during the Age of Ultron intro because Ryan and Hugh were adamant that Logan (2017) would go untouched.

I think a lot of people are forgetting that Laura is a completely different person and not the same Laura from logan. Logan was the anchor being for DPs timeline, and it had its own Laura which is still in that timeline somewhere. The laura in the void would have come from a different timeline. Not the DP Logan timeline of the film.

@eavoss I noticed when Deadpool and Wolverine are walking thru the Void the pass the Planes, Trains and Automobiles car that John Candy's rents is in the shot with the luggage case sitting in front if the rental also.

Regarding the dinner, there was a sense of symmetry that returned to the beginning birthday dinner. Likewise, the return to the subway was a big deal because of symmetry, pointing to his neighborhood and the reference to the subway station as a TVA outpost.

The talk around the 9:44 mark is exactly my feelings. I liked the movie but I really expected the story to have some bigger, more creative impact and purpose to the MCU. The disappointment with the sling ring portal is the perfect representation of that feeling for me for the narrative of the whole movie.
