If your skate ever breaks on the tunnels and have a quicktep take it and run with a 2 handed weapon, you'll zoom through the zombies like they nothing, and make sure you get the tunnel keys as soon as you get some free time as they're a god send when you haven't yet unlocked the shortcut
Another tip you can make any blender recipe in the blender upstairs in paradise plaza. Use orange juice with orange for nectar the will spawn a queen. Orange juice and pie will make untouchable where zombies can’t grab you. Untouchable and spitfire makes zombait which makes zombies more aggressive on you Zombait and orange juice makes randomizer which has a purely random effect. And 2 randomizers make quickstep which make you run significantly faster which saves loads of time. The upstairs cafe in paradise plaza has infinite orange juice and several pies allowing you to make whatever you want. Untouchable and nectar makes spitfire which will allow frank to stun lock enemy’s spotting at them.
Did the same never beat it but got really close now that I'm playing it again this time on PS4 instead of Xbox360 the ai sucks, there is more in the game than I remember and the SMG in paradise plaza doesn't respawn
You have to think of it almost like a rogue lite. Like you're just playing to make frank stronger so when you restart the game he's stronger and stronger each time and by the end of it you'll run through with super frank and save the day and everyone 😄
I've been playing all day yesterday and my god I've restarted about 5x until I finally said I cant save everyone and beat all psychos so now I'm just doing main cases while saving and beating who I can, if I miss scoops so be it there's so many in different areas I haven't got time to do and the survivors are SO DUMB I swear there's one called Aaron I'm gonna be having nightmares about! 😅 ill have to go for trophies on different playthroughs but it took me many restarts to realise I cant do everything in 1 run
Tips for beginners (no spoilers): - it's a rogue-"lite", restart runs to reset difficulty... - ... and farm levels while escorting survivors - Either restart from a manual, frequent savegame, or restart a new run, smoothed out with the level-up and your new knowledge... - .... But appropriating space (weapons) and optimizing time (travel) are your own game skills: experimentation and exploration! - The scenario is not designed to be traversed in one go, so make the most of the tools and secrets at your disposal (several hundred of them) to optimize your attempts and free up time (for fun or future performance). - weapons are consumables, and most of them have special uses, more effective than basic melee. - provide food for healing - Zombies are not rewarding enemies, but moving obstacles that cost time and resources. Get around them. The death toll will naturally rise.
Being a level 3 before starting the campaign helps a lot.. Main reason why i lose focus for starting the game is how slow Frank is.. Thanks for the tips!
i was following this guide, facing the convicts whilst with Bill, Burt and Aaron. i was shooting the convicts with the shotgun UNTIL BURT STOOD IN THE WAY OF MY SHOT AND DIED
As a beginner that kinda stopped playing the game for a bit, I always had trouble even trying to find my way back to the safe house to begin with. Anyways nice tips.
I replay this game constantly, but 7:29 NEVER happened to me, at least never when they first appear. I remember it happening once when i was escorting Gil, but never right when they first show up
SAME I had it on 360 I completed it and got about 75% achievements but now many years later on PS4 I'm struggling I'll need multiple playthroughs for trophies
Play the game till you level up higher and replay the story. Bosses will be easier and better weapons to fight Cletus and Adam the clown Not a hard game but just takes time in getting use to!
Yeah once you get the mechanics down and know some strats like what books to carry, weapons, food to make, and how to manage survivors it's not too hard but it does get stressful. I imagine a lot of people played the later games first and they were a lot easier and newbie friendly than DR1.
Not sure if i got insanely lucky, but when I got to the convicts, I just sent my survivors (the same as in the video) to a safish corner, dealt with the convicts (they got stuck on a lamp), and then grabbed Sophie and escorted them back to the security room.
I just finished my first playthrough of this game (I got Ending A? I dunno if that's a good one lol) and I never once found an SMG, or tried the mannequin torso. My goto was the katana. So, thanks for that!
I couldn't save Leah and Yuu Tanaka and Shinji I had to left them since they stupid and also how the heck Leah's dead anyway she's behind a counter the zombies can't climb
Yeah the AI is basically braindead. Also just a tip, dont stress yourself out trying to save everybody your first playthrough. Even i have a difficult time saving everybody, even though ive been playing since 2010.
@@cobrabear6497 yea I guess I don't have to stress out to save everyone. This is my first playthrough I been waiting to play it back when it first came out but didn't have the chance to have it, now that I have it, I can play but I'm stuck at Last Resort mission like what the actual fk? Carlito like knows where my motorcycle is and he bombed it and I had to walk so far and that mf chase me down with a fking truck. If he's on foot I be beating his ass with my mannequin
I got the game recently again and for Yuu and Shinji you need to pick up a book in the store you find them in called japanese for beginners I think so you can talk to them and they’ll follow you
@PowerCatto the zombies can climb over counters it's just really slow but idk if that's how she dies I think the game just has a timer that if you don't save someone a certain amount of time after you discover them or Otis tells you it automatically kills them. When I played this game as a kid saving survivors was really stressful and I hated it when they died it really bummed me out lol.
I played this game on the wii first time around as a kid, I think it was um "shop till ya drop" or something like that and Boi was it hard with a stick and nuncuck 😂😂
