After watching a documentary series: "Deaf U." sharing my reflection through Deafhood journey and recognize whether the practice of elitism (elite) influences toxic masculinity, questioning Gallaudet University a safe space.
I appreciated your 360 views/input! I’d agree with you based on my own Deaf institutions experiences and social life, unfortunately. I’m not a Deaf Elite at all and have thought that it’s an ugly label for those who come from Deaf family backgrounds and even those “wannabes” who’re not of Deaf background. Stay strong & thirsty for fulfilling knowledge!
Well...who cares? I wasn’t born Deaf. I lost my true identity from the day I became a different person within my family. Everyone was the same when they learned but they too were in confusion. I was told not to teach sign language with my siblings after I enrolled school for the Deaf. Fast forward...I found my identity that I have to accept through experience. Without them (elitism) we could have missed a lot of opportunities. This is the way we all are struggling in life with other issues. Overwhelming as a fact with or lack of passion. So let it be so that each one is unique and elitism is a very small society that should be ruled by. I’m a reader, too but not like what you have nevertheless I enjoy to listen a different perspective and you are talented.

Yeah, you would be very surprised who those Deaf individuals who asked me whether I am from a Deaf family after Deafhood Monologues that night. They are both well-known Gallaudet employees. Both are now retired. Yeah, you knew that I was from hearing family long time ago, that's a big difference. Well, in person, I am different from vlogging.
