Deafheaven - "Brought to the Water" (Full Album Stream) 

Every now and then, I rant and rave to mt friends on all the reasons why this is my favorite metal song of all time. Seriously a rollercoaster of emotions, the song sounds both uplifting and depressing, both happy and sad, both violent and calm.

I don't know man, every time I listen to this band makes me wanna pick up my guitar and write something obscure, new and ground-breaking. I love them so much.

Had one of the most profound spiritual moments of my life listening to this song. During the part at 5:40 I heard a voice in my head say "believe in miracles". Needless to say this song is full of memorable moments and I adore it Can't wait to hear the rest of the album

I like how the song is melancholy and angry, but also can have a bright tone if you listen to the clean part with a certain mindset it's really cool.

Deafheaven is just one of those bands I can totally identify with. The musicality, the lyrics, the drive of emotion... everything! What is even better is meeting the perfect gal who is into this band just as much as I am. Not to mention she has great musical taste. There is such a person, too. Thank goodness. Life's not so bad after all.

I love the new progression so far. Sunbather is gonna be an album I'll keep close forever, no matter what they do on the new album. This I can use for different moods.

I remember I watched these guys open for Lamb of God in 2017. Don’t know why but I’ll never forget the way the singer said “We are Deafheaven! This song is called Brought to the Water” and the light show kicked and they on absolutely slammed the entire venue

I really appreciate how the mix isn't squashed to shit like a lot of modern records and that there's real dynamics. You can tell because you have to turn up the volume a little more, but it sounds great and smooth. Do these melodies sound a little video gamey to anyone else?

This is FANAAASTIC! Love the direction Defheaven is going with this new material. Great production and all of the instrumentation is mixed very well! Especially considering how intense it all gets at once.

This band manages to take so many influences and weave them into one unique, incredible sonic experience. Amazing songwriting.

The very first few seconds remind me so much of immortal. Then there's the usually Deafheaven sound and a real progression of the melodic 'post' elements, like black metal My Bloody Valentine. Love it.

this song structurally reminds me of "Way Out Of Here" by Porcupine Tree. opening bit fairly conventional song structure, soaring guitar solo in the middle, moves into an alternating loud-heavy thing for the climax

I love this band as much as I ever loved Nachtmystium (I feel like Deafheaven really picked up where they left off, in the nicest way possible), plus they have Daniel Tracy just TEARING up the drums on this track!

Heard a lot about this band. Friends kept telling me they were a black metal band. I wouldn't consider them black metal but they are brilliant. Really liking the album so far.
