metalheads that are squeamish about this band blow my mind. if they had long hair and wore boots and band shirts, half of the people bitching about this band would call this "progressive" or some shit. if you are ashamed of liking a band because of their appearance, you're no better than any pop or rap or country fans that you claim to despise
He certainly lets the music move him, which is something I truly miss out of most front men. This music is highly emotive, I think it would be weird if he didn't act that way, like "Dude...do you not like your band or something?? GET INTO IT!"
Also, for the ones who asked...they probably sped it up cuz they have a set time that they have to be done by...that's what I'm GUESSING anyway..I kinda like it slower like on the record too.
I might get some negative feedback for saying this but I'm glad Deafheaven cut most of the overthetop stage antic bullshit and focus more on their instruments live. Nobody else shows stage presence like their lead singer and this band. George's just moving the way he wants too, whatever, it's music, everyone has the right to move the way they want to move in front of a group of people.
I love that the metalheads are getting squeamish by how he's moving on stage. They're uncomfortable and that's great. It seems that theyre still trying to uphold some normalcy.
its amazing to see this band playing on huge lineups in front of large crowds, when two years ago, i remember seeing these guys in a tiny club in gothenburg, in front of a sleepy crowd of around 50 people.
Amazing performance... Can't wait to see them live. I hope a european tour will happen in 2014... Santa if you're listening to me, you know what you have to do.
Fuck. This is sped up quite a bit from the record. I'm surprised the summer is still alive. I will always be perplexed as to how he can sustain those blast beats for so long.
I hate that the drummer forgot some of his parts but other than that this was amazing. I just love their drummer so much that it hurt I was like huh lmfao.
I see a lot more people complaining that everyone is trying to pigeonhole Deafheaven into some genre or another than people actually trying to pigeonhole Deafheaven into genres.
