Many years ago I used to pass BMS all the time on the way to work in Bristol, TN. I have only been to one race, it was because I was given 4 tickets for free, from someone I knew that always had 4 tickets paid for by her work. She couldn't make it, so she gave me the tickets. People that have never watched a NASCAR race in person have no idea just how loud the cars actually are. Man, you can feel the rumble and roar go right through you when they go past.
@@larry68hd11 Wow, I think that was the year I was given the tickets. We may have been there at the same time then. Oh well, back then we wouldn't have known we were going to become future friends. 👍
I’ve never been to a Bristol race. Always wanted to go. We used to go to the Nashville Speedway downtown to a lot of races. It was loud and a lot of fun.
@@WillysPerformanceCycleCtr The BMS generates a LOT of revenue for the Tri-Cities. Most of us locals hate it though. When I still worked up in Bristol, many years ago, every time there was a race, for over a week the traffic sucked and I had to leave an hour earlier every day to get to work on time. Idiots would just stop and park in the dang road! I kid you not, just stop, park, get out and start either shopping all the sellers, or go right into the grounds area. It would take so long to get the road cleared that I would leave an hour early and still end up late for work. Most employers realize what's happening, depending on where you live and how you have to get to Bristol.
