As someone who only payed 6 and 7 aside, I've struggled in goal on many areas. Large goal, crosses, corners and where to be in my box in general. It's tough lol
So op1gk can u make a video how a goalkeeper can pass and play with his teammates and clear if nessery having troubles in that aspect of the role of a goalkeeper. @OP1GK
@@Gaming28x-xt5re make sure that you're positioned correctly ready for the shot. You'd also expect your teammates to deal with the player as it's difficult for you to save that type of shot
I'll make a video about free kicks in the future 👍 For corners you want to put a player on your front post and optional on your back post with the rest marking an opposition player
In theory if the ball is coming at that height then your defenders should deal with the ball rather than you having to worry about coming out. If it's coming at that height and you have to catch it, attack the ball and make a basket catch whilst jumping.
Hello Op1gk, I'm a goalkeeper that is really short standing at 5 ft 6, I've had issues with catching the ball, can U give me tips for a really short keeper.
Like I said in the video if it's a low cross from a corner or free kick then your defenders should deal with it. If it's a low cross from open play, you should either drop back to the goal line getting ready for a flick at the goal or if you think you can get to the ball then you should try to dive at the ball with 2 fists punching the ball away as it's most likely too dangers to catch. On some occasion if the ball isn't travelling fast or you are confident enough you may try to catch it.
Just do it. The way you improve is by learning from your mistakes and leaving your comfort zone. The more you come out for crosses, the more confidence you gain. If I were to say any tips it would be, start coming out with the intention of just punching the ball. Low risk. As you get more comfortable, start claiming balls.
