Watch until the end if you have the stamina :). I still think these prices are a bit too high but they are headed in the right direction. I think by August we are going to see even better discounts.
Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra are some of the best selling trucks right now.

You thought $63k was alot for half ton. Toyota just came out with the pricing for the TRD PRO Tacoma, and it's like $63,900. And that's a mid-size truck. THATS INSANE!

People buying cars don't really watch RU-vid like that; we are the exception. If it makes sense to them financially and the dealer offers discounts, people will buy, no matter the price. I literally traded in my older vehicle and got a truck because they offered 0% APR, good trade-in value and additional discount on MSRP. People can say that the price of the trucks are not worth the product, but life is happenng before their very eyes. Trucks (and everything else) will only get more expensive. Get what you really want (house, trucks, grow a family etc) and enjoy it. Good luck and sending positive vibes. :)

If you’re paying 90k for a truck that truck better last 50 years with no problems lol. But the sad truth is after 100k the transmission will go out. Emission problems which can be expensive to fix.

I like when you ask for a discount and they tell you they cannot discount it because it is priced the same as all the others in the area. Yup that just means since all these trucks in the area are just still sitting there like ducks it is for a reason too........................the price is too high, lol.

I recently purchased a new Chevy 3500 high country. We waited as long as we could to purchase. We decided it wasn’t worth putting our plans on hold for a few dollars. I can make more money. I can’t make more time. We felt we got a reasonable deal. It listed for 92,000 and change. They lowered it to 86000 something so after tax was gonna be a little over sticker. We told them if they dropped to 90 k even we’d pick it up. An hour later they called said if we were there in next couple hours we could make a deal. So that’s what we did. So I guess it boils down to buying what you feel comfortable with. I understand not everyone can afford a vehicle suck as this. But remember there are enough that can.
@TheCarGuyOnline

Yeah every week I visit dealers, cars are selling. I just bought a used vehicle at a Cadillac dealer (didn't buy a caddy), they told me they sold over 20 cars last weekend, which is crazy. They said people will walk in and buy Escalades that cost $150k, cash, like it's nothing. I think these manufacturers have figured out that they can just sell fewer vehicles to the upper middle class, have less headaches, make more profit. I can't blame them but someone is going to fill in the lower market at some point. It'll probably be a Chinese company.

I really like the looks but I feel the same way you do, way too high priced. I keep hearing lots of people concerned about that. I had an old 2007 denali XL, loved the 6.2L but had lots of problems before 100k so never got another GM after that.

Sorry late responding. Nothing technically wrong with it, it's just a $3000 maintenance item down the road. They claim they last between 150k-200k for the "wet belt" used to drive the oil pump. If you are buying new, probably nothing to worry about if you are getting rid of it within 100-150k. I'd install a catch can though :).

@TheCarGuyOnline
@TheCarGuyOnline 3 месяца назад
The issue I know of is the "wet oil pump belt" and some leaking rear main seals :). It's not really an issue just a maintenance item that shouldn't have been a belt, it should have been a chain design. It's a part that makes no sense to design as a belt...just cost cutting it seems. I think the maintenance interval is 150k miles so, if you are someone that trades before they you don't have much to worry about from what I have heard. It's about $3000 for a new belt. I think the latest 2024 is 200k interval but, people are still annoyed that it's a belt instead of chain. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dxGu1pIJeGo.html

All unions are at fault for our crazy economy, no body but union workers can afford much. The only unions there should be are in the medical field.
