31 yr LPN here, returning to nursing school with the end goal of DNP (Lord Willing). My brain doesn't seem to learn as much or as easily as it used to when I first went to LPN school. Your teaching and memory tricks are a LIFE SAVER! You have such a gift for putting the puzzle together to make it very easy to understand and to see how the components work in synchrony. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING YOUR GIFT WITH ALL OF US!!
I am so happy to hear that my tips and tricks are helping you study! 💛 I truly love being able to share all that I've learned with others. I wish you all the best in your nursing school journey. You got this! 🙌
@@geniesunflower12 YES!! YOU GOT IT! I'm happy to be your support whenever you go. Keep my information. I should graduate in December for my RN then I'll keep going as long as I can. You can too! :)
I feel seen! I’m 38, studying for the NCLEX. I have definitely been struggling to find something that will make the information stick. I realized that this isn’t the same brain from 10 years ago. I’ve just started using her tools, and I can already feel the lightbulb coming on! So glad I found it ❤
I love how you tie everything together in your videos!! It helps SO much!! I pull out my Nursing Bundle book and follow along, take notes and it just clicks in my head!! Thank you!!!
Your nursing school bundle is super helpful! Helped me pass all my classes last semester 🙌🏾 I love how you explain this concepts in minutes thank you ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for this amazing video you made for us. It's so clear the way you teach and speak. Hopefully, you'll create more videos for us to learn more.❤
Hospitals in Denmark does not follow up on side effects and weight when using diuretics. I almost died from kidney failure from 3 months use on Furosemide. Have permanent damage now and suffer from kidney dissease because of that. Medicine should only be used when there is no other option, and patients should be informed much more about the effects and side effects of medicine in general. And most medicine should only be used shortly if possible.
you are the sweetest person I ever know. No expensive savage, no half videos. Every time I watch your video get motivated thank you nurse in the making .
Oftentimes, this will come from the pharmacy with 0.9% sodium chloride. But, the pharmacy will have this mixed for you and ready to infuse in the hospital setting. I hope this helps answer your question!
So we use loop and thiazide in treatment of hypertension also they get red of potassium And in our health education section we advise the patient to increase their potassium intake ? So the best Diuretic type of hypertension theoretically is potassium sparing type ?????
@@Anonymous-xs4ul Thanks for your question! In addition to loop and thiazide, other classes of diuretics can be used to manage hypertension. The HCP will order which medication will best manage the patient's hypertension based on an overall assessment and review of all disease processes and the patient's current state of wellness. I hope this helps clarify this information for you!
Experiencing edema as I type, I went to the hospital and they told me my blood work was negative my pressure was okay . But I know my diet is a little off, and I've been going to the gym forever. I'm a bus driver and I sit for hours on end. So can there be anything else I can do?
Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, I wouldn't be in the position to give medical advice on something like this; I would definitely refer you to your doctor. I'm sorry. I wish I could be more helpful. I hope you get the help you need! 💛
Christin you are my favorite.i listen your videos wherever i go driving, cooking everywhere.you break the contents well and easy to understand. Can you do fundamental videos please??? Thank you and be blessed.
Ugh, but why does Potassium 5.3 need to be reported if Spironolactone prevents reabsorption of the low Sodium and has no effect on Potassium? Sure, it should be reported, but how does low sodium still indicate giving a sodium wasting medication? Sodium is also extremely precise before causing neurologic symptoms. This stuff never makes any sense. Answers just feel randomized.
Hi there! Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic, which means the body holds on to or keeps potassium. A potassium level of 5.3 is considered elevated, and if the body is holding on to more potassium due to the use of spironolactone instead of wasting (or getting rid of it), the potassium level could continue to increase.
