We have planned our trip a year in advance, so it's been a lot of catching up on our favorite Disney movies, creating itineraries that might work for us, and of course, watching YT videos. We can hardly wait! We also have a countdown calendar on our fridge. We've been crossing off the months and then will cross off the days once we hit September.

Have post Disney blues since our last visit in 2019! Thankfully your videos help to get by. Even though we are one state away and a day's drive, it is really hard to get back to Disneyland with time and money constraints.

Honestly, these videos are how I deal with Disney FOMO. Living vicariously through them, obviously, but hearing tons of awesome tips for our next trip helps me feel like the planning part is fun and prolonged. And we have learned to think of the planning and waiting as part of the fun! The anticipation! Also, I totally feel you with the agony. We are at 7 days until our trip and I’m pretty sure Disneyland has become the only thing I think about…

I have always liked everything Disney and had been to the park a couple times as a kid and once as an adult with my wife. Since we took our daughter in 2019, I've been obsessed. I'm constantly watching Disney vlogs. We did that 2019 trip, another in 2021, and a Disney cruise last year. We are visiting the parks for just a couple days next March, as well as Universal and Legoland, before another DCL cruise. Surprisingly, to me, I had major Disney blues after both park trips but not at all after the cruise. Not sure why, it was amazing. My daughter said it was better than the parks.

Disney blues and FOMO are definitely real! My husband wasn't a huge Disney fan (he loves Toy Story though!) and doesn't love theme parks so he didn't understand until we went to DW in 2021. He loves that there are shows and things like Mickey's Philharmagic. Oh, and he's a huge Star Wars fan! If you haven't posted it, would love to see the Cheshire Tail, we didn't care for it in MK but maybe homemade is better. Thanks for all of your videos!!

I'm feeling the Disney Blues big time. I got back a week ago from a 9 day trip with my son. It was so amazing. I don't know when we'll be able to go again. I made a spreadsheet before we went with all the food I wanted to try. I hadn't been for 5 years and I spent all of that time just watching vlogs with food and I had a lot of stuff on the list...over 100 items although a lot of it were backups or items that I was pretty sure they didn't have but I had just in case. Anyway, we ate 54 items lol. I spent way too much money. Last night I was checking how much it would cost for me to go next week for Star Wars night and one or two extra days. I live in Canada so it was about $2500 plus I'm still in debt from my last trip...oops. So ya, no Disney for a while but I appreciated this video and all of your videos to help make our trip great!

You’re videos is my favorite Disney content. Can you possibly make a video someday of the average wait times for rides whether some rides may have longer wait times in the morning or afternoon , so people can figure is it worth waiting in line at that time or go at a different time in the day
@karennovak7810

Just got back from California this last Sunday and the sadness is real! We had a wonderful time going, but I miss it already and there’s for sure some things I wish I would’ve prioritized or remembered to do. I definitely wish we would’ve done another one or two cast member photo pass things. And I wish I would’ve gotten a dole whip! 😅 I started late with my food planning so I just didn’t remember all the things I wanted to try. And then as you mentioned, sometimes you fine yourself needing a quick fix or across the park from the item you want. With 4 kids, it was just a little wild and crazy! 🤪🤣 but the tip of making an actual well planned list with really help with the next trip. We live in Oregon and this was quite an expense for our family of 6. I wish I could say we are booking our next trip, but unfortunately we just have to see how it goes. I’m watching these videos still, but I’m sad about it!!! 😭

Oh definitely book another trip 😅 the first time we went to Disneyland Paris, I booked another for 6 months later as soon as we got home, then the pandemic hit so we only went back again last year for the third time. I’m with you on writing down/prioritising snacks. We’re coming to DLR soon and I have a whole list written - yet they’ve not announced Pixar fest snacks yet! So i’ll bring Tupperware for the more portable ones to eat later and the lesser portable/more melty stuff straight away 😅

Went to San Angel 10 years ago and didnt like it, but I want to go back to give it another chance. The ambiance is cool, and I think if you are curious about it you should give it a shot. Sometimes I’ve noticed if I try something I really wanted to try and it ends up being not good I’m still happy I at least tried it so I don’t have to wonder what would happen if I did and I can mark it off the list. At least if you go in with low expectations you may be pleasantly surprised, and if not at least you tried it.

We live in San Diego too and for the few times a year we go to Disneyland, I make a ride/attraction & food priority list too! Everything is prioritized from which land first and which ride/food from each land. I especially take note of seasonal foods because I dont want to forget those options if I get a chance to try them! I only started doing this after having little kids because as you know, timing is everything with them! My husband and I used to be AP holders (before we married and needed to save $ lol) so we used to just stroll leisurely. I fantasize about living in Irvine or someone closer in a nice area but our families are here, its hard to leave! But yup, still feeling some Disney blues a month after our last trip and knowing my brother and his fam are going soon but we cant make it. So i like to watch Disney livestreams to combat the blues too.

Half the time, I'm not in the mood for that food item. Or it's across the park. But I will admit that I have gone all the way to DCA cause nothing sounded good to me at DL. I hoping May 2025 is my goal for my next big trip.

Lately I’ve been trying to find food at Disney that I don’t usually eat, and so I’ve been struggling to be interested in some options and becoming indecisive about where to eat. Because generally that means that I’m eating items that aren’t as good since I usually lean toward the best items on the menu. But it’s also led to me discovering some new things, like the bread at Oga’s. So that’s a plus.

When you go, please do not wait in that ridiculous Gideon's Bakehouse line. The offsite store has no line but if you have to be onsite, hop in line 30 minutes prior to closing, they usually let you in. If they say they are full, come back 15 minutes later, they magically let people in for some reason. We were able to do this for three nights. My husband and I used the resort baby-sitting service to basically watch our kids sleep at night while we roamed Disney Springs at night, ate cheesy drinks and chicken biscuits at Chef Art's Homecomin' and then hopped in the Gideon line to finish out the night.

Leaving day is the worst. But usually I’m so exhausted from our trip, I don’t think I can do another day.

That might be us on this upcoming trip because of how much we have crammed in. Usually we take a break in the middle and have lots of swimming afternoon breaks planned, but with my Aunt coming with us for the first time since 2014, we are going to probably be skipping those breaks to maximize the few days she will be there with us. Then after she leaves, we might squeeze in one day with an afternoon break. But we will probably be exhausted. Even so, sitting with your luggage waiting to get picked up by the shuttle and watching other shuttles arrive dropping newly arrived guests off is rough. 🤣

There is so much more to life than a Disney trip I feel sorry for people so incredibly obsessed they can’t find joy in other things.

For San Angel, my theory is the people that like it don’t have good quality Mexican or Tex-Mex food where they’re from 😅

Yes, and being from San Diego, we have Mexican on every corner here. I’m sure San Angel would be a let down. 🤣

The best way to get out of the blues is to start planning your next trip. That usually what I do every time.

The guy who said San Angel inn was terrible is also a creeper. From my experience…go try the outside restaurant cantina de San Angel. If you time it right…you can see the nighttime show!

You know who I was talking about! 😂 Indeed, I heard about the scandal. I haven’t watched them for years, though. We did see… is it Magical Hijinx maybe?… posted a recent(ish) video about doing the outside restaurant and watching fireworks at the same time.

Epic Universe is on my list for going opening week. I’m sure it will be insane, but I’ll do it anyway.

36 days until my first Disneyland trips! Your videos have been an IMMENSE help for me and my friends when planning this graduation trip! I’ve been to WDW once for 2023 new years, then went to DLP summer 2023 during the 30th anniversary while on my study abroad (I’ve caught the Disney bug haha) I hope you and your family have a BLAST in WDW this year and DLP next year!!

It would’ve cost my family of 3 $6k to spend a week at Disney world not including flights. With that money, we’re going to Japan for 2 weeks and spending 3 days at Disney Sea and Disney Tokyo.

Hey Traver! Are you going to be at Disneyland at the end of April? It'd be cool to run into you (as a big fan LOL).

@@eatsoph We tend to hop around between both parks. But I believe we are starting in Disneyland. So it wouldn’t be until after hopping time. But that’s our day to film Pixar Fest. So we will be over there for sure at some point.
