In your zafina advice, pretty much what you do. She covers every option with every stance so running away and forcing whiffs is definitely the best way to go.

Zafinas tarantula stance (all 4s crawl) is very bad but her mantis stance (crab walk sorta deal) can be annoying but most mids will hit but she can block mid and low in this stance so you have to mix her up after a block that isn't punishable.
While otherwise informative, the video neglected to discuss Lei's ability to move while grounded if his head's facing forwards. A quick press of 4 followed by 3 lets him use a slide that covers a lot of ground, and down+3+4 lets him do a defensive backwards maneuver as part of a low attack while never leaving the ground. Low parry can destroy both of these moves and force him off the ground, opening him up to counter-combos from his opponents, but these maneuvers otherwise in the right hands make it more difficult for foes to footsy, especially if Lei stands up to heal himself in drunken master in an attempt to steal through running the clock. When the opponent has no strategy for it, it's possible to win without ever leaving the ground.
It is true if you are unsure how to punish grounded opponent you should back away. Just remember use backdash not walking slowly back. Especially when you are unsure what move comes next from the opponent. Many new player tend to walk back slowly.

Zaf to me seems literally the most broken of the low stances like seriously she has Tag 2 movement and crazy carry fuck this characters in particular I dislike her gameplay design so much.
As a Xiaoyu player, I'd like to add that Ling can duck in AOP crushing a lot more mids than you think. Don't be frustrated, she probably predicted your read on her.
You should have covered leis head first stance out of dragon as it is on block an interruptable one but not on reaction because lei can drop to ground after dragon 2 or fn4,1,2 dragon or snk 2,2 dragon to get a reaction on you and even though it looks like it is reachable it actually isn't and the only safe option is to backdash out of there otherwise you get a %50 launch mixup.Similar thing also applies to eddy uf3 relax as it looks like a reachable thing and to interrupt but it actually isn't and eddy get relax 1,3 or 4 unless you backdash out not they are not launches but eddy gets good chunk of damage and 1,3 puts him back on relax with good frames on hit while 4 wallsplats and gives balerina spin with good frames. Both of these situations are similar and completely avoidable and most good lei players use your backdash to setup another thing like drunk or animal stances while eddy actually gets nothing if you just get away. On also a separate note i think you should also have mentioned two more things leis haha step and crushing properties of it.Lei can do bt d1 for a good ch launch low which crushes highs and has launcher version of his db4 sweep also he has option from bt to hold db to move 2 character sizes away while high crushing and can do ws3+4 while in this high crush. Secondly panther has true high crush while snake and dragon has build in high evasion during movement which is easy to cancel and repeat with spaming fbfbfbfb.In snake transitions you don't wanna mess with lei if it is out of punishment because lei has decent frames and dragon has really strong options to play mindgames like i talked about before.Panther on the other hand has a true %50 with launch mid with only -10 and a knockdown low with chunky damage like hellsweep.The issue however is the poke low from panther.The knockdown low is launch punishable but the poke low from this stance is just -12 and make people use launch moves and get either good frames from block or punish those launch attempts. Sorry about long post just wanted to put the information out there.

Great video and very important topic for a lot of players. Thank god Kazumi has the tiger roll and it is so good against it. Even at purple rank the lei players constantly lay down even when out of range. I only met two leis which actually "fight" and not lay down every second just to get hit by my tiger. There is no fight at all, they lay down and i do tiger to hit and the cycle repeats. Sometimes they stand up and block but they never start to fight. The second i am bored and try to get in with a mid i regret it and get launched so i stay with the tiger. Versus eddy it mostly is more a fight then laying down and spamming tigers. Versus xiayou you constantly have to annoy her with low hitting mids.
