In this one my unicycle developed a serious hub problem and I attempt to deal with mosquito swarms by shouting at them!
Return to the Steppe - what it's all about:
After almost being hit by car in October 2015 and deciding the icy roads of Kazakhstan were too dangerous to continue my round the world unicycle ride, I traveled to Bishkek to wait out the cold. Winter over and it was time to continue my journey and return to Kazakhstan and the desert Steppe. 'Return to the Steppe' is my video series documenting my time riding across Kazakhstan.

I interrupt my watching because I have to congratulate you on the mosquito dance. How funny. I know the feeling originating from Scotland. You need 'skin-so-soft'. It works a treat. They stick to you but can't bite you as it's oil based. Just wipe em off once in a while. Brilliant stuff Ed 😆

Can confirm.... The mosquitoe dance does work¡! It also gets rid of everything and everyone around you at that moment... So it's very affective. 😊😂

7:50 The 1st lesson to fight mosquito in camping situation is just burn some dry wood or dry grass or dry animal dung and spray that smoke all around you. All mosquittos will run away.

I agree, especially if you have very nice fat around your body mosquito running is very healthy it is even Kazakh national healing method.

This video should come with a warning for anyone who has suffered from mosquito or midgy swarms, I did last year while touring Scotland and now having watched this I'm thinking I'm back there, I'm having some serious sympathy pains here.

I know the Mosqito problem all too well! When hiking in the mountains of Oregon, you get to see quite a few of them!

Was thinking what you spoke you must have lost your mind to even try to unicycle around the world. But you made it so kudos to you! Was surprised you hadn't tried a temporary fix of the wheel at the shepherds place.

I currently have exactly the same spokes problem on my nimbus 36 I am not touring and use the Uni most days....not an easy problem to fix...should probably re-tighten up the spokes....your awesome Ed!!!!
