I found you when you uploaded the video of you picking up Eton and Wy, and now I am just tagging along waiting for the updates! :) Your body language is great, you train them with so much patience. Every equestrian should be that gentle and patient.
i love that you always wear a helmet when working with your mustangs no matter what you are doing with them. simple or not safety first!🙌🏼 you are doing great!🤠
Helmets should be worn anytime something is done with a horse, no matter the breed. No matter how well trained a horse is, something could happen to freak them out, and yep, it's best to practice safety first.
Wyeth is very lucky to have been adopted and now treated for these ailments. Imagine if he'd just been stuck out in the lots, suffering in silence. really enjoying your series!
I really really like this guy. He is a really neat horse. Love how he reallyyyy thinks about things. And his bravery and temperament considering the amount of pain this horse is probably in, very remarkable. Love his character overall💖💖💖hope you can get a diagnosis and he heals fast🕊🕊🕊
Poor mustang a foot abscess and now a sore tooth. I hope he heals up soon. He is a handsome horse. Beautiful coloring. A different personality to Eton. He certainly holds his ground this one.
I love how you interact with horses, recently came across your channel I've been following this guys journey so far, I think it's amazing 😀 looking forward to seeing him at the end of the 100 days ❤️.. I'm gonna use some of your methods whenever I interact with horses from now on! Some of the little tips you give are so useful, like the tightness of the lower neck etc 👍🏼
I think you're amazing, and I learn so much listening to you talk about what you're doing and why. What I love about you is your ability to watch yourself and critique your own actions honestly. Not many horse people can do that. That shows that you want to improve and that you really care about the horses, not your own ego. Refreshing!
This makes me wish I had a horse. I LOVE watching the TIP videos!! I absolutely love the patience you have with Wyeth and Eton! I can’t wait to see Eton come farther!
What a good boy! He has come so far despite the pain he must be in. This is my favorite part of your work with the Mustangs, when their faces soften and they are clearly beginning to trust you. Take care. Keep up the amazing work. Glad I am a Patreon.
Despite it all, he seems to want to please you. I think you picked a good one, Elisa. And, you are doing so well. Please know that several young riders/eventers are sitting here watching with me and they are soaking up the knowledge. Thank you for sharing your videos.
Thank you for detailing your release methods in this one. How important/influential is eye contact during the release--or is it horse dependent? Is it considered a bigger release if you look away as well? I noticed during some releases you seemed to deliberately look away and other times you kept an eye on him. Just curious. Thanks for the vid!
Imagine...a 2-legs...flighty by nature...with toothache...and a sore foot...and up comes this other 2-legs and starts waving a flag in-and-around-and-about your face...??? That mustang deserves a nice carrot or three!
PandaPapa146 working with him helps make it so they can treat him so hes not suffering. And continuing training also helps make sure they’re ready to be adopted if they don’t remain with Elisa,
@Elisa Wallace Eventing I found the Channel through watching your helmet cam videos once and the funny thing is, I have the Breyer model of Hwin! I honestly only just put two and two together today (The day I'm writing this comment is a hot muggy july 6th 2019)!
Just found you and am finding your info with these two mustang's so interesting. You can see them thinking so much. I have zero horse experience but have always lived them. I'm almost a senior now, do you think someone like me could learn to own a horse? I feel like most horse people have grown up with horses. When I think about it, I always worry I will ruin him. Are there classes that teach me how to teach him and live with a horse, besides riding of course. And is it fair to own just one horse or are two better/enough? I worry I don't have any horse sense. Lol. In any case, I'm enjoying learning from your videos. You're very thorough in your explanations! 🤗💕
samiamisme i know im not the one you are looking to answer your questions, but my best advice to you is if you want a horse, you buy one that is older and more experienced. Because you said you had no horse sense, correct? If you learn how to communicate with that horse and understand its “language” maybe one day you could get a project horse of your own:)
@@maryahf3213 thank you very much for the reply! Is there an age a horse needs to retire from people riding on them? I imagine it depends on the horse. I like this idea though. It makes a lot of (horse) sense🤗 thank you for a starting place 💕
samiamisme you are correct it depends on the horse but when they reach their upper 20’s and hit 30, they should be retired. Only light exercise for the senior horses :)
FM thank you so much for the info. It's hard to believe they can still hold a person at 20. With God's grace, one day I will own my own horse. Thanks again! 🤗💕
Love this horse. Wy gave you a few Lick and Chews, so something must be working. Glad his hoof is better, and looking forward to a relatively minor issue with his jaw...fingers crossed. I guess my next lesson is to watch for the muscles to relax in his neck...yikes...so much stuff! Thanks for everything Elisa!
Sounds disrespectful to those around me, but because I'm crook atm all I look forward to is the upload of more clips, so I check daily. Those nearby are wondering why I want my laptop so much. Laugh, every time they come near me I flick on another tab which has an action movie playing at all times. Shhhh.
