I needed this, I am coming out of the pentecostal teachings I learned for many years and now that God is leading me out of false doctrines, I am trying to share it with my family and church friends and they keep telling me I am wrong and I am being judgmental. Mind you, they post videos of "angels" flying in their neighborhoods or gold dust falling on them, just ridiculous things. I can now see they won't accept correct doctrine, they continue to follow false teachers because its exciting to them, everything is increase, miracles and supernatural occurrences. I have gotten very frustrated so I stopped sharing to them.
I don’t like reading or studying the Bible so I force myself and pray that put desire in my heart to love reading, now I love to hear the word but just don’t want to read it

You have accept you are not responsible for people. You have to know the difference between helping and being responsible for them. People will say they want help but they really want them to be responsible for them. People are responsible for themselves. Let people figure it out on their own. Its a difference between leaving people stranded vs leaving them to figure it out.

Man began to increase in number and they settled on the plain of shinar. They proceeded to make a tower to reach heaven etc. The Bible says that God said, since man speaking with one voice can accomplish this, then nothing will be impossible for him. It was God who confused man's language or gave him different languages. We know that the English language is a dialect. in fact, it is considered by some scholars to be a Germanic language. Look in any dictionary and you would see that many of the words have their origin in German, French Greek, Latin etc. so we can argue that English isn't really a language

No it isn’t. This is exactly why we need to be biblically literate. It doesn’t matter if your translation says, “beginning “ or “foundation.” What matters is what the word is trying to communicate. I guarantee that if you look the phrase up, you’ll see that it’s talking about a time before the world began. To turn around and say that the phrase is talking about the beginning of Paul’s ministry is downright ridiculous. This is what Corey means when he says we ‘spiritualize’ the Bible.

The gospel is simple. Christians are too busy trying to twist it up, making it more difficult than what it is. If Jesus called the children to come to him, how come it's so hard for adults to grasp? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” I Corinthians 1:18-21 NKJV You’re taking this way too far to try and prove your point that’s not right.
In that case we should stop relying on men’s knowledge for everything else: why stop at the Bible. Throw out your dictionary, technology and medication. Don’t go to the dentist, grocery store or pharmacy. After all, men work there and they use their knowledge to tell you how to live. Just because someone studies doesn’t mean they aren’t relying on God: God created everything including our brains and minds to think.

But Corey, with all due respect(this is Christopher by the way)don’t you think you need to take your own advice? Lol. I’ve been saying this about you and your stance on tongues. I don’t think you trust Tyndale and/or Wycliffe translation because you refuse to say “tongues” vs languages. Those dude knew exactly what they were doing when they said tongues. There is a clear distinction between speaking languages and speaking in tongues. I can speak other languages- “Bonjour”, “Hola!!” Shalom, Shalom…but that’s ME. When I speak in TONGUES, it’s NOT ME, it’s the Holy Spirit. And the way you teach, confuses many of your followers, especially the young believers. So you should trust the work that Tyndale and others put in (you even said that he died at that stake) and use the terms that they placed in the English translation of Scripture. There is a spiritual application to “tongues” that you overlook and that’s why you misread 1 Corinthians 14:2 and other verses that doesn’t negate tongues but simply breaks down what tongues are.
The difference is it wasn’t just a simple greeting in a different language, it was full blown conversation in a language that didn’t study or knew before hand. It was by the power of the Holy Spirit that this happened.

Tongues is form of prayer or praise…it’s between you and God. The believers in Acts did not speak to the Jews…the Jews heard them…but they were not speaking to them. PETER is the one that spoke to them!! Go to Acts 2 and find the verse where Luke says the believers were speaking to the Jews. It was a sign! Like if I’m in a church and I start speaking in tongues and the Holy Spirit starts speaking through me in Japanese…I don’t know Japanese lol. But there is a Japanese dude in the church and he hears me speak in language. I’m not talking to the dude, I’m praying in tongues and the Holy Spirit use my tongues as a sign to the dude…who is an unbeliever

@@michaelmcgill4627 Tyndale could’ve easily said the believers spoke in “languages”. But anyone can speak in “languages”. The reason why Tyndale, Wycleffe says “tongues” because when you speak in tongues, it’s supernatural…it’s spiritual…it’s the Holy Spirit speaking. If I’m a contractor and I’m bilangual…I can speak Spanish to a dude from Mexico…but that’s me…a language I learned. When I speak in TONGUES , it’s the Holy Spirit taking over my TONGUE, tangibly and speaking through me. . Not to people but to God, unless it’s the gift of tongues and I have to give interpretation in a public setting. That’s why Paul says in 1 Cor 14:2- when you speak in tongues, you are speaking mysteries BY THE SPIRIT. That’s why Paul talks about “praying WITH THE SPIRIT. There is a HUGE distinction between speaking in tongues and speaking in languages. When you teach that tongues is speaking “languages” and you emphasize that’s it’s just known language to further the Gospel…you’re taking away the spiritual component of it. If you going to use the word “language” Instead of tongues…cool…but you gotta say “speak in languages by the Spirit”…it’s much easier to say tongues…the word that the translators gave us lol. As it pertains to Acts 2- Luke NEVER says the believers were SPEAKING TO the Jews. It says The Jews heard them. There is a difference. When you go to church on Sunday, whoever gets up to pray..and they start magnifying and praising The Lord…ask them were they speaking to you or God. They’re going to say that they were speaking to God, right?!?! BUT, you heard them, correct?!?! But they weren’t speaking to you although you heard them. That applies to TONGUES. Those who believe that tongues is just known languages, have the same viewpoint of tongues as unbelievers.

Where are you getting your information from?! You’ve been watching too much RU-vid. Augustine was a monk- like most monks they had to be fluent in multiple languages, including Latin. That doesn’t mean he couldn’t speak Hebrew and Greek. They may not have been able to speak it fluently as a native, but to perform their duties they certainly had to be able to read it and parse it. And, contrary to the OSAS documentary, Augustine wasn’t the first person to believe in election; neither was Calvin or Luther. Election is not a Calvinist doctrine- even Reformed Arminians and Provisionists believe in it- they just don’t agree on the WAY Calvinists INTERPRET it. Paul believed in it; so did Peter and John.

In his writing “confessions” He says it himself the dislike he has for using them because of the challenges he had while trying to learn. Just do your research instead of jumping to conclusions to defend your idea. The doctrine of election and predestination and no free will was incorporated into Christianity by Augustine. He changed his stance on free will and interpretation on it after a public debate he had. Manichaeism believed in election a heretic religion that Augustine was apart of before he became Christian. This is all historical facts and not just hearsay it’s in his writing and others. You don’t need RU-vid you just need to study and read his own writings. So yes the Bible says election and predestination but the interpretation from what the early fathers before Augustine is different. The actually early fathers that was taught by the apostles themselves did not agree with Augustine on many things. Do your research it’s very simple.
