It’s a good thing that Jett goes as fast as he does because that might’ve been a problem. I got a feeling it’s gonna be a long summer for everybody not named jet Lawrence. Amazing how fast that kid rides.

The speed difference between the 2 is wild. Probably made over a second in that short clip and if Jett is doing Alien shit like that 4 or 5 times a lap then the rest of the field are in trouble.

I listen to the race , dont get to see alot of the video but dont remember hearing as this event happened what went on . I only saw / heard the recap of the incident on a youtube video . its just what happens, miss a line , deflect off a rock , rut or hole . all in a days work for these guys

after further review the ama says dean drifted left and jetti drifted right , so no fines are coming . just stay in your lane and it will be just fine .

Talk about rinse & repeat: As I commented to an earlier post, If you were to do due diligence, you would know that Deano explained he had hit a rock on takeoff, which threw him offline. So, simply a riding incident, & Pala is well known for uncovering rocks randomly on the circuit.

Jett ended up there because of a mistake he made. Dean’s mistake was secondary.

Dam lucky for both, ya don't see that everyday and get away with it for both riders! This is the incident that for me what should be used to sort the off track ruling! Both made mistakes, Jett stayed on the outside to a degree, but entered back with speed and accelerated to make the jump, on entry he couldn't keep a straight angle! Deano crossed inside to outside, both are dangerous! I hate cross jumpers at the best of times, its dangerous and shows a lack of skill to keep someone who is clearly faster behind you, which is poor character, not race craft! Deano did not do that, I think he got out of control and lost his line probably due to a rut!!! But the off track thing needs sorted, this incident highlights it more than the Vialle and Deegan situation which is also not a clear cut situation with the rule interpretation! Deegan's off track excursion first moto was on him! Deegan's second moto off track excursion was actually due to another rider trying to come back on the track! Vialle's was just sloppy, for a 2 time world champ he should know better (he's better than this) credit to KTM for not protesting or debating it. The answer is clear, for safety and for consistency, regardless of situation, you go off track you must re enter as close or where you left it, if it is safe and does not put oncoming riders in danger! Simple, no grey areas! Its racing and shit happens sometimes. You cant please everyone and a rule is there for safety but also for fairness to all riders not just the "elite few!" Everyone pays an entry fee, everyone deserves to be treated the same, if the sanctioning and ruling body is just! (We know life isn't like that) Some in the industry say it should be treated like a crash! I agree, this is exactly how an off track excursion should be treated, sometimes a crash is another riders fault, you don't get a pass because you were innocent then gain a position, everyone loses in that situation and its racing! We cant restart after every crash! Example of this would be the first crash of the East SX race where half the field was taken out by one incident! Unless its a dangerous take out then penalties are dished out to the offender! simple. You sign up for the race, that's the rules, end of, no snowflake lame excuses no whining no bitching, no one puts a gun to your head. I think Jett is this situation should have been given a warning and fined because it was quali and nothing was gained anyways on this lap! Same with Vialle and Deegan, I wouldn't haven't docked either a position for the first round, to me better to have fined them 10k sent a warning to the field to set the standard for the rest of the season, 2nd round onwards you get docked a position if you leave the track and don't re-enter as close as and as safe as to where you left the track, no cutting the track no slowing down and re entry further down, this has been a growing issue in SX and now its in moto, too many unclear rules! Also if riders don't know the rules at this level, no excuses, no reason your team and rider shouldn't know the most important basic rules, all these guys including rookies have been racing for years! That's shame on you!
