I love it how those two can slaughter monsters from sunrise to sunset without much issue but one presented with a baby they still don't know what to do
tanya yeah, people who regularly watch Supernatural know that, chill out. No one is throwing hate at Sam because every sane person knows that Sam has a really soft heart. Though anyone who doesn’t believe that is a jerk.
It kinda saddens me that Dean will probably never have a son of his own to look after and care for like a proper father. He would make a brilliant father and it's really sad that he'll probably never have the chance.
Ender Dragongirl You can't imagine little!Dean taking care of baby!Sammy, taking a little of John's Jack when he's home from a hunt in those early days in those first dozen in a string of hundreds of crummy motels, doing the same, so their dad sleeps and Sammy's crying doesn't wake him?
I want another scene where the boys have to take care of a baby, because this would have been so perfect if Sam wasn't soulless. And Dean whining with the baby was the best thing 😂😂
Course he was four when Sam was a baby and while John wasn't the best father, even he wasn't leaving a four year old Dean to be taking care of a baby Sam.
my favorite part of all is when Dean starts humming: "Smoke on the Water." and when is asks "Bobby-John if he will be a man about it" if he's put down in his crib. And now that I know that Jensen sings beautiful Irish songs to his own daughter to put her to sleep, my ovaries are now useless blast holes.
I love how Dean deals with Sam and Bobby-John like they're his older and younger kids- Dean: _singing to Bobby softly_ Sam: "Dean, you're just going to make it cranky again-" Dean: *SHHH* Dean: _continues singing_
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Dean would be the best dad ever? He doesn't seem to think so, but the fact is he practically raised Sam on his own. Dude's probably got more experience than most people.
We all know that the only reason Dean is not showing all his A+ parenting is because they needed some comedy time. I mean, he was the one who raised the moose since he was 4/5. He would never let the baby cry for more than like a minute
Will never forgive them for not turning that "changing diapers" -scene into a recollection of "I have plenty of experience changing *your* diapers." I mean c'mon, we all know it has to have happened at some point or other.
There's four years in the difference between their ages. People seriously need to stop with the idea that John was leaving 5 year old Dean all alone to take care of one year old Sam. Jaysus! When he left them alone that young, he left them with someone he trusted to TAKE CARE OF THEM (IF he left them at all at that age). Dean never changed Sam's diapers FFS.
@@forcryinoutloud (Late comment) My sister and I have a 5 year age gap and I changed her diapers multiple times lmao. Granted, I used to have baby dolls and I practiced on them. Obviously my parents were around, but I'd be more shocked if Dean hadn't changed a diaper in his life. And, Dean was 8-10 in that one episode where he was left alone with little Sam who he had to make dinner.
Even soulless Sam was crachinkg up in front of this adorableness, seriously, so freakin' cute! (and for those who wonders, giving a SMALL drop of alcohol to a baby help them to sleep ^^)
I need an episode where this happens but without the part of it being a monster baby and Sam is normal so it can just be adorable and domestic af. Maybe Cas can come help too and entertain it with his powers...sorry I'm delving too deep into the AUs now
Haha, I know, I was laughing and then going, "Awwww," until he gave the baby his beer - that's so horrible! Why am I still laughing?! Oh my gosh, I'm a horrible person! Hahahaha!
I've read that new and inexperienced parents tend to hold babies on their dominant side, while experienced parents would hold babies on their non dominant side so they can still use their dominant hands. Seeing as how Dean holds the baby on his left side instead of his right means that he's basically a dad. Probably from all those times taking care of lil' Sammy.
*Sam:* Make it stop! *Dean:* How?! And: *Sam:* You're like, father material. * Baby starts crying again * *Dean:* * Dips finger in whiskey and feeds it to the baby * Yes, Sam...definitely good father material... Although can someone tell me why they are looking after a baby in the first place? (Also, I love how they keep calling the kid "it" xD)
This scene pulls the tears out of my face it's so cute!! And knowing Jensen was a new daddy around this time just made it so much better!! That first baby, in the car was scrumptious, too!!
Hehe I forgot about this scene and soothed one of the crying babies at work with Smoke on the Water. And it worked too! Aah the wisdom of Dean Winchester. 😎
Yep, yep it is. I learned that a little bit after I posted that comment. In S01E04, Dean hummed Some Kind of Monster by Metallica on the plane because it calmed him and here, it's what you said, by Deep Purple.. Thanks! :)
Actually what dean was doing with the alcohol is kind of common with parents. I mean they probably don't jam a jack Daniels flavored finger in the babies mouth, but they do use vanilla extract (which one of the main ingredients is 35% alcohol) to soothe the pain on infants gums when their teeth start to grow in.
@@BlueBird0606 They're talking about some of the actor's personality traits coming off in their character, and vcie versa. They tend to rub off on each other.
