Dean deserved so much more then what he was given. Dean obviously loved and cared for Rory so much and Rory took it all for granted. Dean literally made her a car from scratch and she threw everything away like it meant absolutely nothing. Even after Dean and Rory broke up Dean was always there for Rory no matter what.

Dean deserved better although it was the best ship of the show in my opinion, everybody talks about Dean being too jaleous and everything but in my opinion, Jess was the worst, he didn’t really care about Rory in season 2-3, I only liked him in season 5 and the revival, Jess was a coward, and he was lost, he wasn’t good for Rory. Dean was safe and great and I am so happy that there is still people who love them because when they broke up I was in such pain that I had to stop watching GG for a bit hahaha And this edit is fucking gold I love it, it smells talent 😯❤️

I feel like rory and dean were great together. dean knew the customs of rory and lorelai so well, he just fit right in. he was also super nice and loyal when they were together?? I just wish he hadn't married lindsay and rory wasn't so careless about their relationship. otherwise, i think they should have been endgame.

I'm only on season 4 but someday I will watch the rest and Gilmore Girls Reunion. I loved Dean&Rory, I couldn't stand that she broke Dean's heart but I was glad that after that they still could been friends.

As an Italian fan, I'm really sorry for Dean. He has always been a very mature boy for his age, above all a hard worker ready to sacrifice himself for love. In various comments on web I read that he was not a good boyfriend because he was jealous, aggressive, toxic: I think that any sane person would be jealous of Rory's behavior. She just loved to stay in ambiguous situations, accusing Dean of being too paranoid... but he was right in both cases: first with Jesse, then with Logan. Dean understood so fastly that Rory liked Jess and Logan (and viceversa) at their first meeting. And still, there are people who accuse him to be jealous and aggressive...It seems that Rory just love to play at "being the naive girl", but in truth she is attracted by rebels guys.

I think Dean was best for Rory in the time they were together, but I think they outgrew each other. Rory wanted to travel and not be stuck in one place and Dean wanted something stable with someone who would be there all the time and in the end she couldn’t be there for him. Dean couldn’t let go of his first love and Rory wanted to make up for the fact that in the end of their relationship she treated him like dirt and left him for something new because she got curious by the shiny new toy.

Wait... I'm actually about to cry over that line "taught me what safe feels like" ...because yeah, Dean had problems and honestly marrying Lindsay and then cheating with Rory were awful choices, but Dean gets blamed for things Rory did TO him first. She kept making eyes at Jess, and he's not allowed to get jealous? Nope, that's not fair to him. Even though I'm Team Logan in the end, Dean and Rory had such a sweet first love that ended so bitterly... It was just so innocent that I don't think it could survive once it was tainted by all the cheating.

I just started this show about a month ago and I’m on season 7 .. but I don’t get why the fandom didn’t like dean . He was patient , caring and protected her . Everyone wants to make Dean the bad guy when Rory and Jess crapped all over him. He didn't deserve the treatment he got with Rory and Jess making googol eyes all the time and Rory ghosting him. Dean was the perfect boyfriend for Rory while they were in high school but she did out grow him once she went to college. She was never "man" enough to tell him. She really hurt him multiple times and it was not his fault.
