🤣😂🤣😂 I love how he didn't care about the squirrel but everyone else was on his hit list.

That squirrel part reminds me of when my late basset girl Annie just sort of watched a chipmunk taking a sip of her water bowl when we were out camping. She was so calm just watching this chipmunk from this little hole she dug for herself in the shade of the truck. Annie in her younger years also once caught a rabbit, but once she had it she didn't know what to do with it so she just let him go. She was a sweet and gentle dog, although she took no sass from other dogs she met. Gods I miss her...we had so many little crazy adventures with her, it's hard to think that it's been over 4 years since she had to be put down. Old girl got to be 16 years! I like to think we gave her a good life for what it's worth.

Honestly Dean and Chief have had a positive effect on my mental health after being quarantined. I have had four male Bassett hounds in my life and each of them were unique but almost the same. Best friends I have ever known.

So great to see more of the genuine Dean, very much a Basset Hound, barking and howling in frustration, but he is a friendly guy at the end of the day, Dean wouldn't kill these animals, he's curious like any other hound. Bravo Dean!

I have had a three-toed box turtle for about 20 years or so now and my current dog is a 3 year old basset and at first, he had the same reaction to my turtle. I'm convinced they just don't know what to think of each other!

Oh my gosh, this just came up in suggested vids. It brings me to tears as I am laughing while watching this. Lost my 18 year old basset Gus a week ago today, and just picked up his ashes a little while ago. Know I will eventually move past losing him, but it is so very difficult right now without him. :'(
